Oh I love Zumba! I go 4x a week! And with my HRM I can burn 700-1,000 in an hr session. I was so surprised at how much I burned doing Zumba. I bet you'll be surprised too! A good surprise :) Have fun!

Yes ignore it, MFP doesn't factor that all in.

You definitely want to ease into it. And don't forget to stretch to prevent injury!
-
*Gasp* No I love the elliptical! It's better on my arthritic knees than the treadmill. Try doing HIIT on it, you'll feel like your dying. It works :)

Everyone looks frickin' AWESOME!!!! And keeps me motivated! My profile pic is my face side by side. I'll have to take a body side by side this weekend!

Patience patience patience. I know it's hard but you need to trust the process if you're doing it right. Weird as this may sound, you might not be eating enough for working out 2-3 hrs 4x a week. Are you eating back your exercise calories? You need to figure out your BMR and TDEE and go from there. Opening your diary may…

Thanks for the responses! Very much appreciated! I should also state I measure all food and use an HRM. I know I'm over thinking it all and stressing out, you nailed that on the head. It's what I do :p I'll try 2100 total and see what happens. Thanks again!

Hey Torgrills, Do you eat back your exercise calories?
-
Thanks for the reply! But what about the days I burn 1,000 calories? If I'm only eating 2,000 burn 1,000, I'd only be netting 1,000 if I don't eat back any exercise calories right?

I'm sure a lot of other things listed trigger mine too but I really notice that acidic foods/drinks do. Like oranges, grapefruits, pop.

LA Fitness in Burnsville for me! I go to Zumba religiously, lol. If not in Zumba, I'm usually there everyday but Fridays. Anytime after 5. :)

It worked for me! And I was also scared to up them. I went from the 1200 to my BMR 1677 and I feel great and finally got past a stupid plateau that I was stuck on for months. It'll take a week or 2 for your body to adjust, you may feel bloated. But give it a chance, it works!

Never mind I see you are full!

If a spot is still available I'd like to lose 10 lbs in February! Thanks!!

I know exactly what you are talking about! I listen to KDWB! You've got my vote :)

Every morning at work I have a big cup! I use to add cream and sugar but now just drink it black or iced. I need the energy! I continue to lose weight so yeah...

Walking around Lake Calhoun or Lake Harriet is always good!

Wow, WTG! That is a great success story!!!!

:( So sorry about your loss. It's never easy to lose a pet.

Exercise! I try and take it out on the machine or pavement instead.

It can be intimidating to go into a gym made of mostly men so I usually pop in my ear buds, crank up the music and get at it ignoring them all.

I have it in moderation and make sure I'm still within my calorie goal. I don't do it every day but once in a while is ok to cure that craving. For example, just stared TOM and was craving chocolate in the worst way yesterday so I had 3 little dark chocolate mini eggs. I maybe living a healthier lifestyle but I still need…

Ah sounds like my bf. He is skinny and has a crazy, good metabolism. He doesn't eat fruit and the only veggies he eats is corn and potatoes. His favorite foods are chips and cookies and drinks lots of pop. I've gained 30 pounds in the past 4 years we've been together because I thought I could eat what he can. Nope. For the…

I hear ya girl! It's summertime and you want to have fun, and you should. I came across the same issues over my memorial weekend camping trip. It's usually a big drinking fest. But with my decision to become healthier I planned ahead. I brought healthier food options such as granola bars, turkey hot dogs, fruit, veggies,…

I have RA, diagnosed at 19 and now 27. Long story short, I put on weight, it got worse and to the point I could hardly walk this past winter. I started MFP in April and it has helped a lot! First and foremost, make sure you have your RA under control as far as meds go. Second, take it SLOW. I started by walking for 20 mins…

Well I use my gym at my apartment and what drives me crazy is they don't open til 7AM! I'd like to be able to get in there around 6AM. It's stupid they lock it anyway because we have keys to get into gym. They lock the main, top lock. So stupid. I get maybe not wanting people to go and use indoor pool during the night but…

I'm 27 and was diagnosed with RA at 19. Meds have definitely helped up until the last couple years. The extra weight and lack of exercise definitely put a strain on my body (especially my knees). It got to the point this past December I could hardly walk. I was sick of feeling this way and getting oh poor me's from family…

I just finished week 3 this morning. I looked at week 4 and oh boy, I dunno. I may have to repeat week 3.
