This is pretty much all you need. Also go to a site called lovesagame.com and click on breakup recovery. His advice is awesome. Trust me. I went through a bad break up. My ex-fiancee called off the wedding only a month before. That combined with other personal stuff in my life made it into the worst months of my life. Of…

Based on the study mention, I would say that starvation mode is a myth.
-
Ok, here is the thing. Anyone can do it. You just have to go at your own pace. Don't try to go at Shaun T's or Tanya's pace. I mean eventually you might be faster than they are in the video. But focus on your own progress. It's a great program to shred fat.

I don't understand why people are saying that Insanity is enough. It's not. Yeah, it's goal is to get you in shape, but IMO it's far from the perfect program. I have done Insanity and I had tons of fun but I was disappointed by its lack of weight training. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know the "body weight argument." After I did…

Right but then 2 lbs a week would put you below BMR. Am I correct? I am thinking that would get you arrested on the MFP forums?
-
Here!
-
Does anyone know what the average loss would be if you aim for TDEE-20%? How about if you aim for 2 lbs. a week? Wouldn't you be under BMR? I've seen people losing that much so I'm curious.
-
Can we make this a forum sticky so no one ever argues about this stuff anymore? Pretty straight forward.
-
Not necessarily true. If you have never done Insanity, I can bet money that you will be EXTREMELY sore. Even if you lift weights. It hits muscles that most of us don't use. And working out the next morning will actually help with the pain. Joint pain and soreness are not the same. Soreness = pain IMO. If people actually…
-
No. Soreness is normal. Especially, if this is the first time you've exercised in a long time. I would agree with you if the pain is related to an injury/join pain. Otherwise, push through. Walk it off. You will be fine.
-
I have done both. I even lift weights on empty stomach. Once you get used to it (a week or two), it makes no difference. I do at 4 a.m. out of convenience. If you are going to do it, do it because it's convenient. I doubt that the benefit are worth the effort.
-
I don't like them and hate if it's some sort of Asian word/symbol.
-
+1. I love them. During bulking I eat one or two.
-
Nothing to contribute here. I just hate the term "lifting heavy." I just lift weights. That is all.
-
I also eat almost the same thing everyday. Almost. A few variations. My eating is super boring. But it seems to work so I am not changing.
-
If I continue to hang out on these forums, I will be an MFP graduate. YES, I will hold a PHD in Broscience.
-
It's doable. She needs good training and 100% commitment on nutrition.
-
Are you sure that eating after 6 pm is causing the problem(I personally don't think that is a problem at all)? I bet that if you log consistently, you will realize that it's not the fact that you eat after 6 p.m. It's what you are eating after 6 p.m. that's causing your weight gain. I think you binge.
-
Drink a gallon of water daily.
-
Ok. yeah, it is. I wasn't sure if you thought it was not enough. i think women burn aorund 300-700 on those and men 800-1000 or more. Varies by weight.
-
Is that bad? When I did it, I used to burn around 900-1000 cals.
-
-
I think it's overkill. I would do one or the other. Maybe even add a few sets of something if anything. I am not a fan of double workouts. But that's just me. I rather dial in my eating to get better results.
-
No, the weight comes back because you go back to your old habits. Don't blame a program that has worked for many.
-
You might want to throw some White Castle in there. I hear it's pretty effective!

He's not gonna be a woman beater. Many and I mean many guys are like this. Needy. They just don't get it. Move on. It won't change. He's just another nice, needy db in my opinion.

I have been dating recently. A lot. And I guess for the last 4 years, I will say that the answer is NOT much. lol. I know I am being very general but this is my experience and I can only talk about the things I find over and over. I noticed that most single women I meet don't cook at all. Don't know how they survive. I…

I don't think you have to do it for the rest of your life. It's just a tool to help you gain or lose weight. That's all. I keep track mostly because I tend to undereat. But nowadays, I feel like I really don't need to. Even going over 500 calories will not kill anyone.
-
Now, that is sexy! :p

I don't agree with this at all. And while there are other options out there, she specifically asked about those two programs. If P90X was a quick fix, I wouldn't look the way I look. .
