  • I just started again today, and have gained back all but 1 pound I had lost before. But when I was serious I would have a drink or 2 or 3 on most nights and still lose weight. I just made sure that it fit in my daily goals. I plan on enjoying a drink when I feel like having one. But everyone is different and that might not…
  • Awesome Job! I have been doing the same thing, and just started using MFP again today. We can do this.
  • I tried broccoli 2 years ago and didn't get anywhere, any ideas? LOL When I lived by seattle (Vashon) I couldn't grow anything. All the deer ate the garden before it grew 2 inches.
  • You can do this, eating more is going to be better for you in the long run. We wouldn't be needing to lose weight if we couldn't eat more. Do alittle research, stick with full fat foods like cheese, nuts, oils etc. I love avocados, and olives in my salads or just to snack. Peanut butter on apples or in oatmeal etc. Regular…
  • I don't officially have cheat days. But every so often I just stop tracking for a few days and its always a struggle to start again. But those times are getting fewer and farther between. I have also just upped my calories so I'm hoping that will make this easier. Probably a slower process but easier to stay with. I…
  • Current Weight= 192 Goal Weight= Somewhere between 145 - 155. I will decide when I get closer and see what I feel best at.
  • I just finished my 1st blog also. Feel free to add me if you would like. We can do this!!

  • Thanks! I will start with this and do some more research. I always thought the MFP protein was really really low.
  • Thanks I was also wondering how to change it or if I could so that helps. What I'm wondering is it always 40/30/30 or does it vary per person? And if it varies how do I figure out what it should be for me?
  • Hi! I'm Marcene and I'm 43 years old. I started using MFP about 3 months ago at 1200. About a week and a half ago after reading alot of information I decided that was waaaaay to low. I didn't want to spend my life at those calories. So I read some more and have gradually started increasing my calories. First week I lost 2…
  • Its 1916, with no activity. I just upped my calories to 1700 on MFP. However I haven't eaten that many yet. I'm working up to it slowly.
  • I went from 1200-1460 and it went great. Now I have upped again to 1700, but still haven't gotten to that amount, I will though. Its scary because it goes against everything I've ever thought. But I keep reading how important it is so I'm giving it a go. Good Luck
  • I will have to pack some snacks, fruit veggies and hard boiled eggs. If I'm not starving it might be easier to make better choices.
  • EEEWWWW!! I hope you feel better soon. I had 1 wisdom tooth surgically removed (it was sideways) about 5 weeks ago. I feel your pain. Thankfully I can eat now, but it took awhile. Whether you log the weight loss now or later is your choice, but you need to eat. I agree with Dan protein shakes, soups etc. Try cottage cheese…
  • I love PB2. I use it in shakes usually. But anything you use Peanut Butter in or on. My new favorite is the Chocolate PB2 mixed in my oatmeal. Yummy. Look around for prices because it does vary alot.

  • Thanks. Eating a large amount of food has never been an issue for me unfortunately. I am trying to eat more snacks that are healthy between my main 3 meals a day. I have gotten alot of ideas from other peoples food diaries. I will keep everyone posted.
  • From what I have learned you should be eating over your BMR + most of your excersize calories. I have heard that if you take your TDEE and deduct 500 cal or 20% (I've read both) thats the number you should use. This is new to me as I just started last week, but week 1 it worked great. LOL I know its still really early, but…
  • This is probably more like what will happen, thanks. I haven't even gotten used to the 1460 so to eat that much more and do it healthy will take me time. I have changed my diary to reflect the 1700 and will gradually work up to that. If I get close I wont fret. If I can, well then I might fret. LOL But I'm going to do my…
  • Thanks I think I'm learning slowly but surely.
  • My diary is open. Not sure if you meant me or not. I was eating 1200 and upped to 1460. But today I am upping again because I learned my BMR is 1603 and understand I should be eating more then that. Guess I will see how it goes.
  • Thanks for all the wonderful information. And the links, I have some reading to do. I love this site and am enjoying this process
  • I agree with this. I love my crock pot and its so easy. And lots of different ideas on here.
  • My diary is also open so feel free to look. I check out diaries for new ideas. I have learned of new foods this way. Good Luck
  • I hear mixed reviews on here. I did weight watchers for awhile and they said count tea or flavored water. So I say as long its mostly water go for it. I actually like water now, so I don't have this problem. But you aren't alone, I have read about this alot. Good Luck
  • I haven't read the post other then the original post. But I read a couple of days of your food diary. I would look into eating more fresh veggies and less processed foods. I'm going to guess you have heard this. I love being able to see other peoples diaries. I've learned alot of different ideas this way. I'm sure you got…
  • I only saw 2 days on your food diary so that doesn't help much. Have you talked to a doctor or a nutrionist? I would recommend that considering the history. Always better safe then sorry. I hope you get some answers soon.
  • I can't believe I didn't realize this before. Shows how well I pay attention. I've been logging my food on here for over 2 months. Learn something new everyday. I will be sure to double check things that are new and change them If I'm sure they are wrong. Thanks for all your input.
  • I pretty sure this is the problem. LOL
  • Or.... (more likely) have I lost my mind? LOL
