It happens. Don't stress about it. Most likely just water weight.

I don't regret anything I eat. If I want a freaking donut I'm going to have one and love every bit of it without guilt. A healthy relationship with food is better than obsessing.

I started running in HS. Started out on hurdles and found my comfort zone sprinting. You couldn't pay me to do distance then. In college I got lazy my freshman and sophmore year, but during my junior year I picked up running again. I would do lower mileage at that time. Running around the university's indoor track for…

Agree with the above comment. I'll add that you need to figure out what your body needs(BMR) then go from there in setting your deficit. I can't see your exact calorie amount for the day but I can tell you based on what you posted I eat a hell of lot more than you do at 5'3 and weighing over 60lbs less than you…

Girl, this story brought tears to my eyes. Amazing to see your dedication and congratulations on being a fighter. Wow, so inspired by you!

Jealousy, controlling, lacking motivation to be successful

Ok, I don't care about the number on the scale. So here are my next set of goals 5'3 Current Body Fat%: 19% Goal Body Fat%: 15%

Well my strength coach who is also a RD suggests eating carbs as a preworkout snack. Brown rice cake with PB and Banana. Maybe try just a banana.

You're going to lose a bit of your fitness, but if you're cross-training I don't think you'll suffer too much of a setback. If you are feeling pain in your knee than you should shut it down for a bit. Don't worry, you'll get it back.
-
You are making this a lot more complicated than it is. Eat a healthy, balanced diet and combine that with exercise.
-
I've kind of always been a runner I guess. Track in HS and whenever I exercised after that I ran. I slowly built up to my distances though. A lot of people on this page are fans of the C25k program. I can't speak on it personally, but you should give it a try. As far as running in the cold, just buy some cold gear then…

I'm 27 turning 28 in a few weeks. You can add me. I'm active daily and keep myself motivated by consistently setting new goals.

Manhattan girl right here!

Not a C25K runner but I'm a marathon runner. It's most likely not your protein intake, but carbs. Runners are encouraged to have a higher percentage of carbs. Try upping that macro and see how you feel.

Shaking my head at this while biting into a cookie. Yeah, good luck with sticking to that. You can lose weight with a healthy balanced diet. No need to torture yourself with only spinach and chicken.
-
Or you could like eat a healthy balanced diet and workout. Those results will kind of last long after you're off those shakes...........

I'm 5'3 and the lowest I've ever weighed was 121. Now, I really don't care so much about the number on the scale. It's more about fit of my clothes and body fat percentage. Found out today that my body fat is 19% so my new goal is to get to around 15%.

I'm going to eat as I normally do. I really don't understand why people stuff themselves on Thanksgiving. Since I make dinner for the entire family, I'm in complete control of the ingredients.

My race calendar is a mixture or 10ks, half marathons, and full marathons. I actually have a 5 miler on Sunday and I ran the 5th Avenue mile, but only doing to secure guaranteed entry into the 2014 NYC Marathon.
-
Nope, I just sign up for whatever race I want to run.

I live in NYC and it gets cold here. I have tons of Under Armour cold gear. Their running tights are pretty awesome for cold runs. For when it's really cold I have a great Northface running jacket to break the wind. Definitely get a good hat and invest in gloves.
-
Same as above. Never have and never will. I'm focused on a healthy lifestyle. That's the only thing that will work.
-
Everyone has said it, but I'll say it again. Start slow and have realistic expectations. Running is not always easy. So many external factors can affect your run. Keep going anyway. If you have to walk, it's ok. You have to give your body time to adapt. I use to just go out and run, but by instinct I would walk a bit when…
-
I do both and I'm never giving up my extensive cardio to solely lift weights. I run marathons and I enjoy being able to call myself an athlete and run distances that most people can't even comprehend. Plus, running changed my life so not a chance I'll ever give it up.

Ok, oddest advice I've ever seen......... Seriously OP you're wondering why you are still losing weight when you don't even reach 1000 calories a day? Find a doctor and get help for your ED like someone above stated and start eating again before you do some serious damage to your body.
-
Just keep going. Take pictures and take measurements. An inch of your weight is great progress for just three weeks. Trust the program. You're doing great!

Nov. 15th NYRR Join the Voices 5m Jan: NYRR Fred Lebow Manhattan Half March: NYRR NYC Half (guaranteed entry thank god) April: Nike Women's Half DC (run with Nike so pretty much guaranteed even though lottery hasn't happened yet)

These threads never end well.......

Same happens to me. I have to keep reminding myself that it'll be gone in a week. This time around I was carb loading at the same time. I felt like a freaking house. Oddly, the day after the marathon my tummy returned to it's normal flatness and all was well.
