I agree with so many of these comments...eat a snack before you go, make healthy swaps, try to enjoy conversation rather than food, and drink water or sparkling water to have something in your hand that is zero calorie! One other random (somewhat related) thought: I have been a runner for years and a long time ago I read…

I love Paul Newman's Light Sesame Ginger dressing - huge calorie bargain. I add some mandarin oranges OR a little cutie clementine, blue cheese crumbles (low fat if you wish), cucumbers, and almonds. I also sometimes throw in some coleslaw mix or chopped brussel sprouts for crunch. Delicious!!

I am also breastfeeding my almost 4 month old and wanted to peel off the last few pounds which is why I joined MFP. The 1800 calorie minimum was also what I heard. MFP's recommendation for me was 1700 calories plus the 500 calories for BF. Total of 2200 calories a day in order to lose 1/2 lb. a week. I know I am anxious to…

Hi! I'm a new mom to an almost 4 month old girl. I have been running for years and joined MFP to lose the last 10-15 pounds post pregnancy and get back to my starting weight. I also am breastfeeding and wanted to make sure I was losing weight safely rather than just guessing at my calorie intake! I hope to run a few races…

All their recipes are free on the website, however, so you could go there if you are looking for low calorie…

I always used to work out even when I was sick. I would just listen to your body and take it down a notch. So don't do anything that over-exerts you or causes you to lose too many fluids. If you are a runner, jog less miles or more slowly or even just go for a long walk. Don't be too proud to listen to yourself though - I…

I have run for years (started when I was 11 and ran competitively through the end of college continue running today about 4 days a week). I'm not an expert or a coach but I've had my share of minor and major injuries over the years. A few things that help me (some that I've learned the hard way!): * I agree wholeheartedly…
