I do drink occasionally on the weekends, no problems here! I continue to lose. I also work out extra if I know I will be drinking later that day. I am not sure about the posts saying you will stop losing or even gain. I have not and neither has my friend who has been at goal weight for nearly a year.

I just do what mfp says, I don't stress on all the other stuff! It's been working for me and also for you. If you stall, maybe it's time to look for change. Just replace a packaged meal with a chicken breast and broccoli!

Avocado! As others have said, and you have done, peanut butter and nuts. Also whole milk.
-
I use it! It doesn't bother me at all.

MIO!

No trolls I've seen, just people trying to help. We all use our own examples of what worked for us. People who have been on this site for a long time and have lost significant weight would not be considered trolls.

10 pounds since April is good! The first 10 came off quickly for me, then it slowed. It will come off though, just keep going.

Bump to save. I've been using ounces as that's what my scale measures. But I have been using a measuring cup for things like shredded cheese.

I don't think a week and a half is a plateau! I have gone two weeks with no loss and then the next week I drop 3 pounds. Weight loss is not quite linear. My progress looks like steps. Down a couple, then straight line, then down a couple.

Are you measuring and weighing your food? You may need to get a food scale so you make sure you are accurately recording your calories.

I wish! Mine are shrinking.

I am not an expert, but I have seen people post gastric bypass that have a lot of excess skin, perhaps from losing weight too quickly. I am not one who believes that you won't function if you don't eat BMR, or that you will automatically stall at 1,200 calories, but maybe losing more slowly will help the skin tighten up as…

This is from PubMed, so from a peer reviewed journal. It's based off of the National Weight Loss Registry. People need to have maintained their loss for over 5 years. The study says that women who have maintained their weight loss average 1,300 calories a day plus exercise. So of course there are those that eat more and…

Do you have a toaster and a microwave at work? Toast your waffle at work and bring an egg, which you can scramble in the microwave! Just whisk egg, microwave for 30 seconds, stir, another 30 seconds etc until egg is scrambled. I scramble my egg whites in the morning like this.

Great idea! I'm going to do just that, thank you!

This makes more sense to me than anything I have seen on these forums. Thank you!!!
-
This drives me nuts! It happened last night with top sirloin. I go with the higher one so I'm not underestimating, but I don't know if that's the right thing to do!

Many people can and do live on that. Just because you don't doesn't imply people "can't live on that"

This is one of those big debates on here and you will get people who say yes, eat them back, or no don't. I would say try it one way for a while and if that is not working after a few weeks (our bodies take time to get used to stuff), then try it the other way! I don't eat mine back, but I don't exercise very hard. Just…

This ^^^ 1,700-1,900 seems to be a lot and I firmly believe MFP overestimates exercise calories burnt. Also, there were two week periods when I only lost .6 or so, then a big drop of a few pounds. But during those weeks I still went down the tiniest bit. Sometimes I think our bodies need to catch up to what we are doing :)…

People are being mean because they get tired of internet trolls!

I respectfully disagree. We have all been blessed with certain genetics from our parents which are different than others. Adding to that, I developed gestational diabetes during pregnancy. Three months later, I was still showing some insulin resistance. So for me, I have to watch my sugar. Others may not have to. When I…

I do exactly what mfp says. You just started and like someone else said, for 2 weeks I'll lose .6, then the next week I'll lose 3lbs. Weight loss is not exactly linear. My progress is more like steps. Step down, then an almost straight line then another step down.

bump to follow the second thread! thank you for all of your great answers. simple and to the point, without being pushy or full of conspiracy theories!

love them all, especially the mexicali salad! i bring my own dressings though, their dressing are too high. i get either galeo's miso cesar dressing or any bolthouse dressing, measure out 2 tbsps for 40 calories and eat these salads for lunch everyday!
-
Well it is a small container, but i split it in two and put it on half a low cal english muffin for a 100 calorie snack. If I were at home, I would take a pic and post it, but I am at work! Oh, google it!

so many things! marinated chipotle chicken skewers-130 calories per skewer egg white salad-100 calories for the whole container frozen bbq chicken teryaki-1 cup with sauce, 150 calories pre-packaged salads for lunch (pack your own dressing, the dressing have HIGH calories!) microwavable asparagus in olive oil-75 calories…
