Yes, that's fine. While I do my best to hit my daily calorie goal, I tend to look more at my weekly calorie goals in maintenance.

9 times out of 10, it's beer. Oh, who am I kidding? 10 times out of 10.

I could have written this post, word for word. Facing up to your failures is a tough thing to do.

I'm a purist.

Hi Calorie Freak! Good to meet you! #DadJoke Seriously, though, sounds like you're motivated to meet your goals. Good luck to you!

Redefining success from losing weight to maintaining weight was one of the toughest things for me to do, mentally, when I reached my goal range.

I didn't pick this up from your original post, but are you logging the alcohol you are drinking? Every drink adds up; even less calorie dense beer can be 150 calories per bottle. That could sabotage your goals really quick. At 5'11" and 70kg, you'll maintain at roughly 2100 calories per day (if sedentary, using this:…

I'm in the same boat, @MrBlodudel: 6'4", maintaining 182-186. Great work dropping to your current weight!

At 5'9", 130 pounds is the lowest weight in the "healthy" BMI range. Obviously, BMI is a very rough measure, but there's a starting point for you. What kind of working out do you do? If it's just cardio, you might be cutting to the point where you are losing a lot of lean mass.

D'oh! Sorry, @jemhh!

What he said. Looking at your profile pics, you are nowhere near obese, so you shouldn't be looking to lose more than one pound per week. While it's disappointing to have to shift goal achievement dates further out, you should probably reconsider how much you can safely lose between now and June 17.

2400 calories per day during pregnancy does not seem outlandish. Congrats!

Holy resurrected thread, Batman!

It's generally safe to jumpstart as long as you connect positive to positive and negative to ground. I wouldn't recommend any other methods.

Click on the person's profile. To the right of their profile picture, there will be a green button that says "Add As Friend." Click that. The next page will give you the option to add a note to your friend request. You should add one - it's polite. Then click "Add As Friend" below that box, and you're done!

I've been lifting on and off for the last three years or so. Trying to get back on to a more regimented routine. Feel free to add me.

Very interesting. Thanks for posting this, OP!

What does the MFP calculator tell you?
-
That's the whole point. Quick fixes don't get weight off and keep it off. There are thousands of people around MFP who have simply followed the MFP calorie goals, lost weight slowly but steadily, and kept it off. But it takes work and discipline to achieve that, and fad diets like this do not teach work and discipline.…

Me too. I do love a good breakfast, although I'm well aware that the timing of meals has very little to do with weight loss.

It sounds like what you're doing is working. If you want to be a little more specific, you could potentially take a picture of your lunch (which is not weird in today's day and age) and log the food individually when you have time. As far as portion size, you would have to rely on approximate volume instead of weight,…

My guidelines (not hard rules): - Weigh in most every day. Don't sweat the daily fluctuations unless I get outside my weight range. - Log everything I eat. The exceptions to this are when I'm away from home on vacation/business, in which case I eat sensibly and pick back up when I get back. - Don't sweat missing a daily…
