  • Hi Roger Glad to see this one here. As those of us coming from NS know I am on a long journey to lose 300 pounds and so far have lost 147 and you also have lost a huge amount. Congratulations. I hope others will join us over here. Did you announce to the group over there that we are here now?
  • So nice to see so many of you joining. I have been on the site since 2012 so if your not able to figure something out. Privately email me and maybe I can walk you through it.
  • Congratulations not only on the loss and maintaining but also on all the recoveries you had to go through. I am almost halfway to goal and still have a long journey ahead. Was hoping to get there by my 60th birthday but it doesn't look possible now. Maybe by the end of the 60th birthday. Keep going strong and if your…
  • WOW all that weight in less than 2 years. You look fantastic. Can I ask what age range you are in? I am close to 60 and my weight loss has slowed down so much this time around. It is frustrating and when I don't see the scale go down I admit I cheat with foods I shouldn't have. I don't know what to do to make it speed up.…
  • WOW! What an inspiration. Congratulations on reaching the end of the journey and getting to maintenance. I am on my journey to also lose 300 pounds and have been on it for many many years. Some day I too hope to hear those words your Dr said to you.
  • Everyone did you know there is a NS group that we can join on this MFP site. How about joining with me so we can have a place to post to on a weekly basis or even more often. Here is the link http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/19991-nutrisystem-family
  • Two weeks ago I added in the 10 days of frozen foods. Until then I was only using the shelf foods and had a 3 week stand still with my weight and then a gain. Since adding in the frozen foods I have lost 8 pounds of course 3 of that was from the gain. In 4 months I am happy to say I have lost 30 pounds. Not as much as I…
  • The first trike I got was a Schwinn and it did the same thing. I returned it to the store and went to a bike shop and got a Miami Sun Trike. It has an upside shape U support and the lovely wide comfort seat unlike Schwinn. My 350+ butt is comfy now if only my hands didn't hurt so much. I don't think there is much I can do…
  • HI all A Super BBW here. Have been battling this weigh issue all my life. In Jan 2006 at 497 pounds I started WW and later switched to NS. I had gotten down to 317 by Nov 2007 for a total of 180 pounds lost. Never got over into twoterville, lost my motivation and started living with a chef. However I managed to maintain my…
  • I finally was able to get back on my tricycle after having been off of it for 8 1/2 months due to two tears of the right meniscus. I was able to bike for only 1.2 miles but it is a start and it felt great to be exercising again.
  • Congratulations!! You look great. Glad that NS helped with the last 30 pounds.
  • I have been on it since June 8th. I promised myself I would be on it for 6 month and re-evaluate my situation at that time and make a decision on whether to continue or not. My 5th box has just been sent and should arrive any day now. In this new order I have some frozen items arriving instead of all the shelf food I had…
  • Hi Everyone. I have been obese since High School but I will not go into all the details of my long life. After my divorce in 2005 I started in 2006 to lose weight again for the umpteenth time. I went from 497 to 307 in about a year and a half. Maintained that weight for almost 2 years and then started to gained. I started…
  • Yes I am still active.Still have 175 pounds to lose. However my trike riding came to an abrupt stop in Feb when I tore the right and left meniscus of my right knee. It was not because of the trike riding but because I turned the wrong way when walking one day. Walking is very difficult for me and I was not being careful…
  • I don't know how to upload a picture to this posting. Sorry! I didn't start at 300 or even 400. My starting weight on this journey was 497 pounds. I have multi physical problems and couldn't exercise much and have been fighting this weight loss for many many years. In about 2 years I had gotten down to 307. I gained back…
  • Yes I too had over 200 to lose. I started back in Jan 2005 and stayed with it until about Nov 2007. Went from 497 to 307. So for me it took about 22 months to lose 190 pounds. When I stopped in 2007 I was able to maintain for about 1 1/2 years. Than in 2009 I met a Chef who became a room mate and that was the end of…
  • Actually more than 200 to lose. I started in 2005 at 497 pounds and by 2007 got down to 307. Life happened and since 2007 until June of this year went back up to 390. Couldn't believe it when I saw the scale. Thank God I managed to keep off 107. When I saw the 390 mark I knew I had to get back on board. Since June 1st I…
  • WOW!!! You look fantastic and I am sure you must feel really great. You have lost 50 pounds more than what I STILL need to lose and I wonder if I will ever get there. Seeing you got there gives me hope I might make it too.
  • I was eating back my exercise calories and not losing. So now I am not going to eat them back and see if that will help to get me off the plateau that I have been on
  • Hi All I am Amanda am 57 and have been on MFP since last year. I have been obese since childhood and was sent to 2 fat camps when I was 12 and 13 years old. Unfortunately my parents didn't attend fat camp with me so the meals were the same when I came back and was obese again the following year. I will not go into my whole…
  • WOW WEIGH TO GO ! 150 pounds that is fantastic. I bet you feel so much better. You can really see the change in you. Can't wait to see the next update. I so enjoy the inspiration these success stories provide. I have been thinking of doing one, but I do not see enough change in myself yet.
  • I eat breakfast every morning as breakfast is to "break the fast" you have been on since you last ate your dinner or snack the night before. I pretty much eat the same things that Lapinco eats. Nice to see someone else who likes variety.
  • No I looked at one but I could not get my body down that low. I had to get a tricycle instead as balance is an issue for me as well. That Recumbent bike looks so comfortable I bet you can ride for hours at a time. Got my tricycle April 4 and love it, but can only do about 3 miles in 45 minutes at this time due to other…
  • Wow you just started riding 3 weeks ago and your doing 8-12 miles in an hour. I started April 4 and I can barely do 3 miles in 45 minutes. You must have lost all your weight and be in excellent health to be biking that many miles in an hour. I can't see myself doing that many miles until maybe the end of the year. The one…
  • I wonder have any of you clicked on the OP's profile as I get that it was deactivated again.
  • Cool idea Dean! You know I am on board. Do we continue to post here or are you planning to start a new group? Have to head off to the gym now. Will check back later. Have a great day everyone. :)
  • AWW thanks so much but a SHERO! I think not, just doing what I have to get healthy. That is great that yesterday's ride was better than the first 2 days. Trust me when I say each day will get easier and easier. The first time I did the 1 1/2 miles of my subdivision in 15 minutes instead of 30 I was so surprised and happy I…
  • I got a tricycle April 4th as I am physically disabled and doubted I would be able to ride a bike at this time. My first ride was .33 of a mile in 30 minutes. I was breathing so hard and my heart was beating so fast I thought I was going to die. This afternoon I biked 3 miles in 45 minutes and it felt fantastic. Since…
  • That is fantastic and I bet you are as happy as I am that I am riding a tricycle. I have not been on a bike in over 40 years and this month I got a tricycle and today my 4th time on it I rode 2.47 miles and I feel so thrilled I did. You should do your Birthday ride but make it 23 miles. Next year you can do the whole 48…
  • WOW amazing results in 3 months. I have that curves diet, maybe I should take a second look at it. You look fantastic.
