If I can't see his face, I can't commit. What if he's he's hot...and then has a totally freaky face? :)

You could try a dry shampoo. It's basically a powder that you sprinkle onto your hair and it absorbs all the sweat/oil so that your hair doesn't look greasy post workout. That way you wouldn't have to shampoo so often. Pantene also sells a type that is a spray on variety. I've used it a few times but my hair is very fine…

See an MD. Get an xray of your hips...like now. No telling what's going on in there without a picture and you could be worsening things by not knowing what the underlying problem is. You know that old saying about an ounce of prevention being cheaper than a pound of cure?

I don't think that's tiny at all. I think you should totally be proud.

This is officially the best thing I've read all day. You lady, have the right attitude and will go far.

Alright, I'll say it. This IS child abuse. It may not rise to the level of a legal infringement, but it is abuse, even if it is abuse that stems from ignorance and not cruelty. Someone depriving their kid of food and making sure that they have "cleanse" induced diarrhea for two weeks....

I can't stand eating oatmeal the "old fashioned" way. The texture grosses me out. I love it baked though. You can google tons of recipes for baked oatmeal. I like to throw in apples, walnuts, brown sugar, vanilla...sometimes raisins. I bake it and keep it in the fridge. You can eat it cold (my 3 year olds preference) or…

Hiland Dairy's frozen fruit sherbet. Cheap and only around 100-120 calories per 1/2 cup serving...oh, and it's tasty. I'm guessing the same is probably true for most fruit sherbet's and now that spring is, well, springing they tend to really hit the spot.

It's your first day! Just hop on whatever looks interesting and try out lots of stuff. :)

I basically posted exactly that in my blog last night! teehee. Friend request sent.

My father told me that curse words are for when you are so mad you just don't have anything else to say. I asked how I would know when I was old enough to swear? He said "when you've gotten old enough to figure out how to not get caught doing it." He was right.

That is awesome!

Yeaaaaah. I once weighed my apple, and then weighed the core before I threw it away to subtract the weight from the total. My husband thought I was insane.

The first time I tried hummus I hated it...no wait, there is a point here...so anyway I hate hummus. Then I tried it again. Still hated it. Tried it again six months later and could sort of tolerate it...so I started eating small amounts. Now I love it. I say all of this to say: if you want to learn to like vegetables (and…

Normally I can deal by just having a cup of hot cocoa but tonight....well, tonight I made faux chocolate mouse stuffed strawberries. Less than 200 calories for 10 strawberries stuffed with chocolatey tastiness. It's just chocolate pudding mix blended with french vanilla cool whip and just about 1/4-1/2 of skim milk…

Aha! I have it. Shredded bbq sandwiches. Yumminess. Serve with a side a coleslaw.

yummy cajun food. Cook them with some cajun spices. Serve with red beans, rice & peppers. Or you can put them in a spicy creole sauce and serve that with white rice. Edited to say:Crud. Just remembered the no microwave part. Without being able to heat it up I honestly just don't know what else to do besides maybe asian…

The first thing I did when I realized I weighed almost 300lbs was buy a bike. I made it two blocks in the heat of a summer day and then I PUKED...in front of a family with small children in the park and several of my fitter friends. 4 months later in the early autumn I rode 24 miles and the ride included some massive…

In all honesty it's just makes me uncomfortable to have to admit how far from a healthy weight I still am. It's not something I can really hide...but yeah, I don't want to spray paint it on the side of a building either.

Wow. Just wow. I would have flipped out.

THIS!! This is perfect! I will remember this if/when it comes up again. I LUV it. <happy dance>

Is 36 close enough? I think the 40's will be awesome! My kid will finally be old enough to entertain herself once in awhile...when I turn 40 she'll be seven.

If it were me, and it's not I know, and I really valued the friendship, I would try to address the issue with her. I would speak specifically and only about how certain statements make me feel. ie "when you say X, it makes me feel Y." If she values your friendship she will make an effort not to do those things. It make…

Hummus. It looks disgusting...and the first time I tried it I hated it. Then I tried it again a few years later and viola! love.

Two lbs per week for the first two months is doable, but after that you'll probably need to scale it back a bit. A 1,000 calorie per day burn would be difficult to pull off unless you have nothing else to do every day...plus, your body will burn fewer calories doing the same activity as you get smaller so your burns will…

This. They said it better than I did.
