There was something on UK TV the other day about this. They tried it on a hard surface and thick carpet. The difference was something like 10 lbs!!. The recommended always measuring with the same scales on the same hard surface.

You're doing great! :) You might want to consider starting your strength training now. It shouldn't hinder fat loss (and may help it). There are many people on here who regret not starting strength training before they reached their goal weight.

You're definitely heading in the right direction :) Try substituting simple carbs for complex ones. That'll help to avoid blood sugar spikes and you'll feel fuller for longer.
