• The moment somebody tries to sell me "powder" I step out of it. You'll find all you need fresh and if you really need then buy a blender and put the stuff in there. On the other hand... eating is always better than drinking. Just think about how long it takes to eat an apple, a banana, 1/4 pineapple, one orange and a hand…
• Yes, honestly you will see a difference. You'll have no fun in your life anymore. Have the soda, have the piece of pizza occasionally and see that you stay near to your calorie limits. Eat according to your goal and always eat the calories you burn in the gym. It's even ok to "overeat" some day(s) and to "undereat" the…
• what about yours?
•
Well if it was in the Huffington Post it's got to be true.....   Did your mother drop you on your head when you were a baby?
Brian... Seems you lost more than just weight. Get out and run the immature comments out of your system. That'll do.

• Same here, 4 months of excercise, 12 KG down and the blood pressure is back to normal (120/75). I was borderline to medication and my doc told me two weeks ago I can forget about it and spend my money for something else. No pills for me... luckily.
• Your progress is truly amazing but I'm sorry to say that 25% of 232 lbs is 58 lbs. I can't allow to cheat on math :-) On the bright side you already have achieved more than 51% of your goal !

• I have good experiences with scales of this brand. Very consistent results and not really expensive if you go with the basic product line. http://www.amazon.com/Soehnle-63747-Digital-Scale-White/dp/B003MUJV82/ref=pd_sim_sbs_hpc_6/179-4194709-4451235

• I'm enjoying my beer when going out with friends and I refuse to give it up. But if I know that I will most likely have up to 5 bottles of beer (700 calories) that evening I "work" them off before I meet with friends. I force myself into the gym and do 45 vigorous minutes (500 cal.) on cross trainer and bike. Then I safe…
• Disagree... The topic clearly refers to "one week" and for that short period it is absolutely ok to go down to 800 cal. net. The intake of 1300 cal. will not send you into starvation in one week as there are still 1300 cal. to work on. The difference to your BMR results in weight loss, if 500 then it's a pound for that…
• Assuming that you don't have a job that requires you to move a lot... The gym, every day, 500 calories (45 mins. stationary bicycle, vigorous or 60 minutes elliptical trainer), then calorie intake down to 1300 cals. per day and you should do 2 lbs. per week but that's the maximum when you want to stay within 'healthy'…
• Guess the real problem is that he's bad influence. I go out with friends, people I like and after a while this "what the heck" feeling kicks in. I still try to limit my intake but when I record food and drinks the next morning I'm usually far beyond my limit. Beers and pub food do not suit my plan :-( Having said that...…
• But Auntie, some ice cream now and then helps me a lot to stay sane and you know... right now I really need that! Get your ice cream, have a burger if you want one, enjoy life! The others are so right, as long as your overall intake is less than what your body burns, who gives a $#/T. A few pound less might make you more…
• Use the tools, record your calorie intake to raise your awareness what kind of food is stuffed with calories. You can eliminate all the food that is high in calories/sugars/fat and is not part of your all time favorite list. Helps a lot to have a focus on the goodies you really want / crave for, find good substitutes and…
