  • I perform better at anything on an empty stomach, exams, studying, exercising... i agree that if you could workout in the morning do it, cuz it gets your metabolism going and your body temp up so early.

  • i had the same problem, what i do is eat some fat free cottage cheese or drink a gnc total lean shake, both seems to keep me full until i fall a sleep. its only extra 170 more cals of high protein.
  • well human body only stores a limited amount of carbs. First the muscles will use the stored carbs and then they will be supplemented by carbs(glucose) from the liver and that will also diminish and than the body will increase its fat utilization.. I believe a human body has enough carbs to run about a km, and then once…
  • i think this website might work for you. http://nutritiondata.self.com/ i am not 100% sure on how it works but it gives u in detail all the vitamins, amino acids and minerals in each food.
  • its totally ok to over eat once a week. Increased calories of today will boost your hormones up and also increase your thyroid function. Which you definitely dont want it to go down. so there is something good in everything. I over eat once every couple weeks, usually because i cant help it, but over eating once a while is…
  • well also another thing, ritalin does decrease appetite. ask your doc if you can skip on it on the weekends at least or switch to non-stimulating med. but again consult your doc first. :)
  • i see :) well i guess as long as you get the food portions right and feel full you should be fine. However, if you want to actually be able to eat more, i would advise you to do some weight training and also increase you protein intake at the same time. But you are also 16, so don't push your self too hard at the gym. And…
  • well, looking at your diary you seem to eat well. are you sure about the portions of your food? for example, you said you ate 2 oz of pasta today. you know 2 oz of pasta is very little, perhaps you are eating more than just 2 oz. here is what 2 oz of pasta looks like :…
  • so other than the salad, i am doing pretty well. After recovering from the 150 calf raises i did several days ago, today i did about 50 calf raises. slept good 7 hrs drank plenty of water. went to a spin class for an hour. which was aaamazing:)
  • i think other people have some great food ideas, but how about protein shakes. I have been drinking this thing called GNC total lean shake ready to go, it has 25 grams of protein in a bottle. I know it also comes in a powder form... but the ready to drink is much more convenient. i like the swiss chocolate flavor. other…
  • so i took some out of town friends all over NYC yesterday, and my calves were sore the whole time cuz 2 days ago i did about 120 calf raises. they are still sore :) i think i pushed it little to much on friday
  • thats what it is, its only water weight. You can literally hold extra 2 kg of water weight, most people walk around actually 2 L dehydrated and i could infuse 2 liters of IV saline and they would take it without a problem. so after you eat any kind a food, the solutes such as salt and stuff in the food actually pulls the…
  • increase your water intake, i heard that helps get over the plateau. I am at the same boat right now and i am complimenting that strategy. I am drinking at least 80 oz water a day. ooo yea also, like someone else just said, you might be loosing fat pounds but gaining muscle pounds, so measure your waist, arms, hip and…
  • pour moi, i did about 70 calf raises, an hour of spinning, plus some ellipticals today. haven't ate salad yet but its still 430pm. definitely drank over 64 oz of water. But again I still didn't get over 6 hrs of sleep, but thats good enough for me. and TGIF... also it definitely feels nice when old clothes fits :) Bil~ :)
  • whats your plan on accomplishing your goal. perhaps i can join u
  • BMI is a good tool, but its not always accurate measure of someone's body figure. For example, in order for me to be in the right BMI i need to weigh 160lbs, there is no way that i could weigh 160 lbs and look good. my ideal weigh is about 180lbs. BMI doesn't take in the muscle weight too much. so best way to determine…
  • all i know is that diabetic patients are put on this diet to reduce their blood sugar levels and HbA1c. Other than that i don't know much about it, but i would love to know more.
  • So today, i didn't drink enough water for sure, i can tell just by the headache. I just got back from the gym but i forgot about the calf raises .... shoot :( I ate salad today... yeahhh i am proud of that one :) but slept only 5 hrs last night... oo by the way, its that time of the night again, when i start to do battle…
  • one thing that might help is to get ready for the morning before you go to bed. I am a guy so its pretty easy to say this for me. But taking a shower before bed and getting few things ready before bed makes it much easier for me to get out of the house fast in the morning. So this way i can sleep little later in the night.…
  • well done :) i just started my journey to loose weight and i hope my graph will look like that one by christmas :
  • nice challenge... eating salad is gonna be a tough one for me. but I can do it :) I also like the calf raises. we gonna get some sex calves after these two weeks :) haha sleeping 8 hrs a day... we'll see about that one, i am used to 5-6 hrs a night. good luck to all
  • well, from what I have read in some medical textbooks. when you are stressed there are several hormones and steroids that your body releases to get ready for the fight-flight. one of those are cortisol, which actually activates other hormones like insulin like growth factor 3, growth hormone, also decreases the immune…

  • check out gnc ready to drink total lean shake, I really like swiss chocolate one. It has 25 grams of protein and 170 cals. Its a great snack. But if you want to use it to replace a meal, I would drink 2 of them. It about $7 dollars for 4 bottles:-)
  • hey I am always up for a challenge. Include me in. We'll loose some sweet lbs or kgs whichever!
