I make my own Lara bars, and they keep me full until dinner (like 4+ hours away). They are really yummy too! I add a bit of natural pb to this recipe (and I double it to get about 16 bars that I put into the freezer): http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2011/08/12/hot-fudge-brownie-larabars/

This is exactly one of the theories I used while working on losing 100 pounds. I post my food journal on public message boards (didn't calorie count). I contribute this to part of my success.

I am pretty sure when I trained for my half last year, I didn't do much as far as strength goes for my legs, especially when I got to higher mileage. I would say that if your sore like you said, don't overdo it. Your legs are getting a good workout with the running.

That's what I noticed about Firestarter also...no breaks! I like the longer TF cardio workouts because of the breaks after the fire drills. I do just sneak in water here and there during "starter."

Thank you, lovely ladies, for your condolences and advice. It really means a lot. I am sorry we have all had our losses. I am actually doing better now that I am out of school for summer break (HS teacher here). I hope the scale will show it soon too. :smile:

I started at 260, got down to 147, and now am back up to 167ish. Boo! Feel free to add me, although I don't post all that much.

This is pretty much my story as well! I actually gained back 20 pounds from where I was okay with my weight. Stinks!

I kind of did that with Nutella (not quite as healthy but still fairly low in calories and great in flavor).

When I got down to my lowest (147) last year, I was doing a hybrid of Turbo Fire (HIIT month), ChaLean Extreme (heavy lifting), and running. I also was tracking my calories and keeping my net at about 1700. (Note: I have slacked a lot this past year due to stress and lack of motivation, so I did gain back some of that.)

Well, I try really hard not to eat hydrogenated oils, as I read a lot of labels. I had three times this past week where I ate a cookie or cake made my someone else, and that's when I noticed those symptoms.

I got very close to my goal weight and kind of went into the maintenance mindset. I have since gained back over 20 pounds. So, you do really need to be careful (people out there in general) because it's harder than most think. Ugh!

I burn about 10 calories/hour when I run outside.

Thank you for the information! I don't do super low cal, so I am sure this isn't for me. I was just curious since I keep hearing about it.
