Thanks ya'll. Its rough enough being sick. It's even rougher being sick, taking care of house, and 4 kids with a husband who works crazy hours as well as living with my mother-in-law. Add in trying to lose weight and I'm pretty sure I'm borderline psychotic ;) lol

Are you only eating 1200 and exercising or are you eating 1200 and exercising AND eating back someor all of your burned calories? If you aren't eating back to at least 1200 calories you might be under feeding yourself.

My tonsils are swollen :( I feel like crud and haven't had any energy for 2 days now. I'm not sure if its because of the drop in calories or this bug or what. Eating some left over split pea soup for lunch. I've definitely go all my veggies today.

Florida gets a good amount of rain in the spring/summer. And the mosquitoes will carry you away in the summer, that is, if the heat stroke doesn't first!

Just needed to pop in and tell you I am completely and utterly jealous of every last one of you. Signed, The Scottish by birth, but born in Florida (Inverness, FL which evidently is sister city to Inverness, Scotland. I think I was born in the wrong one!)

Hi Jennifer! I'm a crafter as well. For a long time I was making new outfits/clothes everyday. Its all on the back burner right now, but I hope to get back to it some day. My favorite part was creating my OWN patterns.

Sherri- The CoTD is just extra fun. I hadn't really thought about assigning it a point value. What does everyone think? I think a daily tally would be the way to go that way we can each keep a running tab of how we are doing.

So, as someone who is far off from goal, calculating it on the low side (activity wise) is OK as long as we are eating back enough to cover the BMR?

I weigh myself daily, but I do that because I know if my weight spikes that something I did the day before has thrown my body off. Either too much salt, or not enough water, or my calories in were more than calories out. I only officially call my weight on Sundays. Don't get discouraged over the number on the scale. Focus…

I swapped out 2% milk in my smoothie for skim. Couldn't taste any difference. Perspective for me: For breakfast I made a smoothie.
