  • I'll have to check those ones out too, babynew.
  • Great info! Thanks!
  • Beer .....that is all. :drinker:
  • I yell "HEY!.....I'm not just a piece of meat! I have a really great personality too!" Then I slap myself high five, and almost topple over because my head gets really heavy when its that big.
  • Very interesting read. Not that I ever bought into the whole "Organic" thing, but I do try and buy locally when applicable. Generally, around here, that means organic. As stated before, there is a taste difference in a handful of the foods, and I try and avoid GMOs whenever possible. That being said...I still shop at the…
  • I would suggest doing some research on your own. Just google. This site and its users can sometimes be of great help, but it can also steer you in a terrible direction. Dont get me wrong, I have learned a LOT from the people on here. The problem with asking a general question like this to a bunch of people that are…
  • Here's my main ride/commuter/baby. It's a late 80's Raleigh 10 speed that I picked up at a yard sale a couple years ago for $30. I stripped it and put all new everything on it. The frame is the only thing original now. Fixed/Free wheel flip flop hub on rear. Nothing too special as far as the parts I used. The color scheme…
  • Good point. I guess I dont really miss lifting that much if I cant motivate myself to do it. The drive to my gym is really the deterant tho. I recently moved and am thinking about joining the Y because it is bicycle distance from my house. I hate the thought of having to drive to the gym now that I live in town. Before I…
  • Great story! I'm glad I read the whole thing. A lot of good advice in there.
  • I try to keep my lunch lighter so I can eat a bigger dinner. (keeps me from snacking more at night) I usually have a large mixed green salad with mushrooms, peppers, and tomatoes. Will sometimes cook up and add some turkey breast, shrimp, or grilled chicken for added protein. It's boring, but I love salads, so it keeps me…
  • My one recommendation for your routine....aside from to research and have fun!....would be to incorporate some kind of strength training. I promise you will see your results your looking for by doing so. A lot of people are intimidated by lifting weights. (especially in public and when a bunch of meat heads are in that…
  • I go to Anytime Fitness....mostly because of my schedule. Also I get a 10% discount through my work...so thats nice too. It's generally not very crowded, and i never have to wait for a bike, treadmill, or squat rack/smith machine. Sometimes that can be an issue at other gyms. Most of the people there are friendly and a few…
  • Mad respect for you all. I dont start work until 11:30am, so my EARLY morning workout starts at 9:30.........and I still hate getting up. haha. No one has ever accused me of being a morning person.
  • Background picture is a shot of the Brooklyn Bridge I took while visiting NYC over the summer. Apps are: Facebook, Facebook Messanger, Facebook Pages (for my band), Twitter, Instagram, Instamessage, Vine, Untappd, iPhone Camera, Photo Library, Folder of 6 more filter cameras, Folder of 9 photo editing apps, Messages,…
  • Lift weights like a dude. Sounds like bad advice until you do a little research. You'll thank me later.
  • yep. I had 1 piece of salt water taffy earlier. I logged it. I ended up having 2 more a little later, but that's besides the point. Everything adds up and you need to know where youre at for the day. It's pointless if you dont.
  • Most important, dont psych yourself out too much. Have fun! The pain is not really bad at all. I would compare to a semi-bad sun/rug burn. Since yours is so small it likely wont take long, and the skin wont have much time to get tender. Your body will adjust to the pain quickly. For my bigger pieces...the pain the next…
  • All the people on here saying that apple and iphones suck have probably never owned one. They are the same price as the newest Droids and, in my opinion, are way better. They more user friendly, have better cameras, screen quality, and if you own other apple products the benefits are even greater. I have had quite a few…

  • This is awesome! I will def try to ride more this month now that I'm inspired by everyone on here! Some serious distances being put up in this thread. Today it was rainy but I did ride for about 20 mins on my lunch break. I'm going to set a goal of 150 miles for the month since I'm starting so late. I know some of you…
  • If you are still eating at a defecit, lifting really shouldnt make you put on weight. Hit the weights, HEAVY, a few days a week and you'll see the changes. It takes a couple months to see the changes yourself. Take pictures of your progress. You'll regret it if you dont....like me. Def still want to cycle in some cardio…
  • Lifting rules! I made the fatal error of doing nothing but cardio when dropping my weight. Now I'm putting some back on to get the muscle back that I lost. I've been lifting for about 4 months now, put on about 8 lbs, and look better now than I did before. Plus its way more fun.
  • You guys make awesome salads. I just put mixed greens in a tupperware container and put some type of oil based dressing on it. I'm way too lazy to cut all those other things up all the time.
  • I'm with this guy.....or dont vote. That works too
  • haha I like this one *however, I know just as many dems that make me question humanity too
  • hahaha Just did the same thing.
  • I actually started smoking as an experiment. I started smoking a pack a day for 6 months. At the end of the six months, I was to quit cold turkey. The experiment was to see what it was like to have an addiction, and to see if I had to will power to overcome it. It was a lot harder than expected. That was about 6 years ago…
