Well the technical scientific way is the displacement method. Fill a large measuring cup up to the one cup mark...add your stuff into the water until it displaces the water line to the two cup mark...yhen youve put in one cup of your stuff, no matter howv big or small youve cut it. You can put a ehole chunk of brocolli in,…

Why dont you just go to your doc and get checked? Not sure why youd ask "us" if you have a medical problem? Could be nothing, or it coukd be cysts, cancer, who knows what. On second thought, why dont you just wait and see...what possibly could be wrong?

OMG people really? You are questioning this, of all the possible dumb lyrics out there? Have you ever heard of a metaphor or shall I explain it? In this instance snow is used as a metaphor for both "water" (which they need in Africa) and a romanticized notion of winter/Christmas. There was (and still IS) a major…

This is brilliant. Thank you For all those people who say to just say "no thanks" and can do that with out feeling guilty or sorry or what have you...applause to you. I wish life were as simple as that...LOL...but maybe I should have said: I wish I didnt make life so complicated for myself.

Ive found that low carb, and by default, higher fat and higher protien has stabilized my blood sugar. I try to hit two goals each day...below 100g carbs per day and my MFP calorie mark. I find if I can whittle my carbs to less than 50g the weight flies off, but that level is hard for me to sustain for a number of reasons

Two thoughts spring to mind...the first...I bet nobody said anything to you when you GAINED 15 or 25 lbs!! Its good the people who love you love you for who you are...and are pleased with you no matter what weight you are. The second comment....for people to notice one generally has to start wearing smaller clothes, new…

ThIs Wow, you are so insightful. Years ago, I lost 100 lbs. Due to an injury I had to stop running and the weight came piling back on. I vividly remember telling myself Id start watching my weight and figuring out a new way of working out "tomorrow".... but then Id look in the mirror and still be pleased with myself for…

Great article!! I have no idea why the diabetic associations keep the RDA of carbs so high. Id be on insulin by now if I listened to that BS. Medicial science has completely failed diabetics with cardiologists pushing low fat high carb diets...and that becoming the norm and recommended by the food and drug agencies. I used…

I agree with the others..weight often comes off in chunks, like steps. Two weeks isnt long to panic about...frustrating as heck though. During this period make sure you remember daily how well youve done and how much youve already improved your health!! I think that you may want to consider shaking things up a…

I became a long distance runner...spent my life at gym, on treadmiil, doing weights or on a trail. Lost 100lbs much in the way you stated. Long story short, just before going on holidays, I decided to do one last ultimate workout as I would be away from gym for a while...well It certainly was one last workout...I seriuosly…

MFP always over estimates

5'0...49 yrs old. To lose 1/2lb a week MFP has set me to 1300 cals. It actaully comes out to less than half a pound a week when I do the math. I find it very difficult to hit that target...short folks get ripped off. Bummer!

My daughter rides english....starting jumping this year. I love going to the stable to watch her ride. I like to ride recreationally too but my fat belly made it umcomfortable to ride and very hard to mount and dismount! I saw a picture of how ridiculous I looked on the horse and havent ridden since. By next summer I hope…

Your eating seems erratic to me. Yes a few days under, then over, some days way over. Some junk in there too. I only looked at the last five days mind you. Try eating clean and pulling back on your spike days
