I hate hate hate them! And they ruin my sneakers! It wears down the tread on the top 1/3 of the shoe.

Good luck! With that type of outlook I'm sure you'll succeed. Remember, on those days that you just don't want to do thing, a half assed workout is still better than no workout! Small changes can make a world of difference!

Great thread, thanks!

I am finishing up week 2. It's hard. But I have no doubt at all that it is going to work. Go for it!

I started Monday. I switched my Off Day to Saturday so today I HAVE to do it. Having a hard time getting myself downstairs to do it. I definitely need the support too!
-
Congratulations! You definitely earned it!

Congratulations! Truly inspiring!

I'm starting tomorrow so please add me. I'm going to need a lot of support! At first I was super excited and then after reading the workout, I'm a little skeptical. I'm already doing other weight machines. Do I quit them? I'm afraid if I do and just do the exercises in Stage 1 then I will regress. Thoughts?

French Fries. Just give me french fries. And chocolate covered pretzels. You can have your cheeseburgers, just give me grease!

Love this! I've been mostly vegan for about 9 months (a occasional sushi makes me really happy), but last weekend I fell off the vegan wagon during a family reunion. FYI, if this every happens to you, you will feel terrible for at least a week. And despite feeling terrible it's hard-ish to get back on the wagon! (I went…

I'm 31 and living at home and I get it. I was about to buy a house in 2009 and got laid off. Basically I am working part time while starting my own grant writing business My parents have been incredibly generous and understanding and we generally get along well, but I miss the independence I used to have. It is frustrating…

I ate pizzelles like it was my job. We didn't put any sugar on them so they went perfectly with my wine. I was so very happy!

I usually go with one towards the middle. I tend to order my stuff (whatever type of food it is) without all the extra sauces or anything, but if what I'm getting looks especially large or goopy I change it to the higher one. I know it's better to over estimate than under estimate, but psychologically I do better if I…

How long are the workouts usually? I keep hearing amazing things about them, but they cost so much that I never seriously considered it.

I found agar flakes and the woman in the Health Food store kinda scared me away from it. They turned out pretty good, but not as good as the ones from the bakery. I think I need to puree the pistachios maybe. If you get a chance, try them, they are awesome! (if you like that sort of thing). Where is your family from? Any…

I'm an Italian-American who's vegan - but no one else in the family is. Veggies, fresh fruits and nuts will never steer you wrong. We finish most meals with pistachios and fresh fruit. But when we do feast and they start pushing food on me, I begin to busy myself with helping the women in the kitchen to get the next…

Hi everyone! I'm Tanza (it's a American English butchered version of Tana from Gaetana). My dad's family is from Calabria and my mom's dad is from Sicily. Italian food is so much a part of my life and who I am. I regularly bake my own ciabatta, can tomatoes, make ricotta and all that good stuff...so you can see how I…

So glad I read this post! I got a bit teary eyed and inspired, and not quite so frustrated with myself for my not great run this morning, huffing and puffing and what not.

I eat pasta about once a week or so. I usually plan for it (and the bread that obviously goes with it), but I also put it on a smaller plate - like a dessert or salad plate. Having that plate look full, especially when I add the veggies and whatever else really helps me. For me, it's a mental thing.

There's Rawtella http://www.rawtella.com/ It's not quite nutella, but dunk a graham cracker, strawberry or smear it on some bread, you'll be happy.

I still give my friends and family prosciutto and cheese, but I really like your ideas to get me out of my hummus box. I always always forget about tapenades. And I actually love grapes with my wine, but never want to make my friends feel like they are eating "my" way, but if you're suggesting it, maybe it's not so…

Thanks, I'll check them out!

Is anyone familiar with Nonna's Italian Kitchen: Delicious Home-Style Vegan Cuisine? My family reunion is in a few weeks and the little old ladies (and men) are coming into town. These guys are off the boat so they know their food. Last year I made ciabatta, various pizzas, lasagnas and fresh ricotta. Since there will be…

Pistachio Crusted Eggplant Cutlets - Even those who don't like eggplant seem to like this recipe. The only oil in it is what doesn't drain off the sundried tomatoes. Delicious! http://www.vegetariantimes.com/recipe/pistachio-crusted-eggplant-cutlets/ Side note: I always make my own sauce to go with it rather than using…

How old was his daughter? When I was younger (elementary school) and just the two of us were out, he'd send in a woman after me if he need to talk to me or verify I was okay. Not that going into the locker room was the best means for getting what he wanted, it could have been more stupid father than sinister.

Ditto.

and they are sooo good! Add some guac and a tomato....happiness...in my omnivore family loves them!

I'm a grant writer...does that count?

Yup!

I am keeping my name. Pretty much case closed. My boyfriend agrees. I have a pretty ethnic name and his last name is Ford, which makes my name not as....me. I'm 30 and won't get married for a few more years. But the biggest reason is that I started my own business and therefore changing my professional name just isn't…
