There is lots of good advice in this thread. I had issues with PF two years ago. KT tape (www.kttape .com) , rolling on a frozen water bottle, using a foam roller on my calves, and monthly massages worked for me. My PF seems to be primarily triggered by tight calves. As long as I stretch them sufficiently and get a massage…

I've made both the spice cake and devil's food cake versions. You will not miss the eggs. The muffins are very moist, but not flat at all.

There are how-to videos for taping shin splints on runnersworld.com and kttape.com. The kt tape worked wonders for me:happy:

Brand: NuGo Variety: Dark Chocolate, Dark Chocolate Mint, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter, etc. (they're all good:smile: )

Check out www.runnersworld.com and search on shin splints. They have some good stretches and other advice. My shin splints were triggered last summer by a cross-training workout in wornout shoes. Ice after working out and using zensah compression calf sleeves got me running again. I use kt tape now when I run, and for…

You've made the decision to improve your health and are taking positive steps. You are headed in the right direction with MFP and boot camp. We all have bad days now and then...hang in there! So today's workout was crappy, it happens, even to those who have been excercising for years. Even though you didn't complete the…

Try slowing down. A 10 minute/mile pace is pretty fast to start out with. You may want to check out the Galloway method, it is awalk/run interval training. Just google Jeff Galloway or look on amazon.com - good luck:smile:

Love it:bigsmile:

The 1200 target is for net calories. If you eat 1200 and burn 450, your net is 750. Keep in mind, though that this target does not work for everyone. You need to do what works for you. If you are not hungry, are feeling healthy, and are losing at your target rate, then it seems this is working for you:smile: From what I…

When the scale shows a 3lb gain overnight, it is not likely to be fat. Most likely it is water weight. Drink plenty of water for a day or so and your body will likely shed the excess water.

Good luck!!!

My 2 cents: I would get in a good cardio workout in the morning for a calorie buffer, eat a healthy breakfast, a light lunch (like a green salad with some lean protein), then enjoy the rest of the day. You can try a lot of the dishes/desserts at the pot-luck, just take small portions:smile: This sounds like a special…

Hmmm....It said 127.2, but I'm much happier at my current 123 than I was then:wink:

Excellent!!!

BTW: Land's End calls it 'my virtual model'.

I've done it on the Land's End website before. They have a simulator for clothing sizes. You input height, weight and measurements (they have detailed instructions on how and where to measure). One of the simulations I saw on here as a profile pic looked just like Land's End.

The longer you run, especially in hot weather, the more your feet will swell. Ideally, your running shoes should be a half size larger than your normal shoes. You may also want to try loosening the laces a little on the right shoe. I've had my toes go numb during a run because my shoe was laced too tightly. Good luck:)

Love it! I'm #2 practically every morning on my way to work:smile:
