I'm not sure what it is, but I have noticed it too. No chemicals for me (aspartame, MSG, etc). After growing up on Peanut Butter, for some odd reason now I cannot eat it. Allergic reactions to eggs...my list just keeps getting bigger. BUT, I have found ways to work around it all in my kitchen. Good idea to keep a journal,…

Happy to follow along on your journey! Remember, this is not a diet, it's a lifestyle....once you get in the groove you'll never look back. I am severely hypoglycemic and have really appreciated this food journal, printing it out, and then writing my blood glucose numbers on my page to take to the doc. You will appreciate…

Will turn 53 in 16 days.......I sincerely believe you are only as old as you feel. My mom is 86, still walks on the treadmill 30-45 minutes a day...round of golf at least once a week in the summer. You're not getting older....you're getting better!!

Yes, hang in there. I had a thyroid uptake scan and an ultra sound....very revealing. T3/T4/Reverse T3/T4, TSH, Antibodies, and Lymphocytes are a usual bloodwork panel. Stay on it, and don't give up. I too recommend "stop the thyroid madness".......

I would be very happy to help you and others...anytime! First thing I noticed was a reduction in lymph node swelling and I could breath too. It's kind of funny, you go so long with a stuffy nose you don't even realize how amazing it is to not have one. Been taste testing some new items. A must have in your pantry for…

Meijers? Meijers? Oh, how I miss Meijers!!!! Visiting family in Grand Rapids & Muskegon....Meijers is the FIRST place I want to walk around. OK, back to protein..... I'm always looking for ways to add more protein too, so I'm really happy for this thread. Just started with making protein shakes, and homemade yogurt.

My husband is deployed as well, and I want him to come home to a new wifey!! I have small/reasonable goals as far as weight...just 20 pounds...my big push will be to tone up and build endurance. If you read my profile, and don't mind an older pal...friend me.

Yes, I have to live on that one too. I have breadmaking down to a science, so if you bread lovers out there want my recipe I'm happy to share. I know everyone says that, but honestly, I spent two full weeks doing a "make/bake/taste/toss" method. If you can shop at a Whole foods, the very best tasting bread kit is by…

Looking at health and fitness success, I'd hardly call it obsessed. A better description might be extremely motivated since you change your daily schedule, do what is needed and not to let anything get in your way. Any goal takes drives and dedication....that's not an obsession. Remember...character is defined as…

Make the investment, you will not be sorry:) My food scale, and my blood sugar monitor are two "gadgets" that I cannot live without. I've really found MFP's food journal to be extremely helpful too. I call it a eat-by-the-numbers plan. Oh, and something that really helped my husband....When you use your food scale you'll…
