  • Absolutly not. I hate to read books.... I start them and most of the time don't finish them. I have a nook and I use it to play games and sometimes read a magazine. My husband reads lots of books. Our house is filled with books he has read.
  • I like the fitbit too! I tried the fitbit and the Bodybugg for 2 weeks and returned the bodybugg. I did a comparison review on my blog..... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/Masq I also ordered 3 fitbits on e bay for about $85 each

  • I have not had a chance to read thru this whole topic..... so someone may have already shared mine: I make chicken salad using Laughing Cow instead of mayo.... One 6oz can of 98% fat free chicken, two wedges(any flavor), and one hard boiled egg is 230 calories, 28 g of protein, and 10 fat . Sometimes I put it in a…
  • I finally completed my Fitbit vs Bodybugg review: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/Masq I also learned something else about the fitbit.... Someone else posted how it figures the calorie adjustment that pulls into MFP. If you go to 'my home' and then to 'goals' - there is a number of calories you are expected to burn during…

  • I did learn something about the fitbit today.... again, I'm about the numbers and the Accountant in me gets crazy when numbers don't match or I can't figure out how it's calculating! Someone else posted how it's figured. It makes more sense to me now. If you go to 'my home' and then to 'goals' - there is a number of…
  • Sorry, it was set for 'friends only' - it should be open now.
  • I had both the Fitbit and the Bodymedia(Bodybugg) Here is a blog I did comparing the two: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/Masq The short of it is.... I sent the Bodybugg back and kept the Fitbit.
  • Awesome thread
  • I feel like I need to do this.... I just don't know if I'm ready for it. I have been eating at TDEE less 25% for 8 weeks and lost about 6 pounds. I was shooting for 10 pounds. My weight has been a yo-yo for the past 4 years. It's really frustrating.
  • bump for later
  • In high school when I was dating his best friend. After his friend and I broke up, it took about a year for us to hook up and start dating each other.
  • mmmm need to save for later.
  • One or two cans a day probably won't hurt you. My dad was a truck driver and used to drink a 12 pack of Diet Coke a day.... he ended up with kidney cancer and had to have it removed. :frown:
  • I like them when they are a nice shade of yellow and on a Peanut Butter Sandwich.... forget the jelly/jam!!
  • Stuck with my eating plan and went for a jog.
  • Good information. Thank you!
  • I like the EA Sports Active, but I don't think they sell it anymore. It comes with a resistance band and is a pretty good workout. For a fun game style workout, I like Wii Fit Plus, but you need the balance board.
  • Blue streak = Infiniti G37S coupe that is Athens blue and I like to drive fast. :blushing:
  • My mom is on her third fitbit... but I think she clips the fitbit directly on her clothes rather than using the holder. I have had my fitbit for almost two months now..... I was questioning it's accuracy because of the numbers it was pulling into MFP and how they would change. So, I bought a Bodybugg because it measures a…

  • I don't have a HRM.... but I have been wearing a Fitbit AND a Bodybugg for the last week and a half. After nearly a month of wearing it...... I began to wonder if the fitbit was accurate.... but now that I have been wearing both devices...they are pretty close for total calories burned. Actual steps are off some when I run…
  • Very interesting thread. thanks for the info. :flowerforyou:
  • ^^ this happened to me on the bike path. I was on my bike and there was a runner and a couple of walkers. The runner was wearing headphones and obviously had them turned up too loud. The walkers heard me yell 'on your left' and slowed down... then the runner who did not hear me got into the left lane to pass the walkers…
  • Here are a couple more websites... http://www.rillsmenu.com/ http://www.theyummylife.com/recipes/browse This is currently my 'go to' for breakfast. It is easy to make the night before and just grab it as you walk out the door in the morning. Cold oatmeal did not appeal to me *at all* but this is really really good and a…

  • My name is Amy and my husband and I were high school sweethearts. College wasn't really his thing... so he joined the Navy and was stationed in Cali for 2 years while I stayed home and finished my degree. When he came home, he was in the reserves for awhile... but they didn't have much for his rate to do where we live so…
  • I'm a Navy wife and I've been lucky that my husband has not been deployed for awhile. Working on losing 45 pounds by jogging and road bike. Thank you for starting a group. :flowerforyou:

  • I laughed when I read this!! I was the same way!! I used to get in trouble for skipping gym class when we had to run the mile. The only reason I started 'running' was to do a Sprint Triathlon. It's still not my favorite part of the Tri.. but I get it done. Right now I do a 5K in about 40 minutes.... with running and fast…
  • Showering twice a day I'm not a 'morning person' so working out at 5AM is not an option. SO, I shower in the morning before work and then have to shower again before bed if I work out. On the weekends it's not a problem.
  • WTG! You look great! Good luck on your Triathlon! It is an amazing experience. :flowerforyou: Are you doing a Sprint distance or Olympic?
