I have a two piece bathing suit hanging on my bedroom mirror. :) Daily reminder for me. And it has worked. Days I just don't feel like a work out. That reminder has inspired me to get up, get moving.

I will agree that MFP numbers can seem over the top on some things. But I 100% disagree with you on the elliptical and bike comments. How do you wrap them and heat them during the week? Do they get soggy if made ahead of time for the week?
