Talk to a personal trainer. They will tell you that if you are serious about losing diet is everything, and pretty much agree with what I said. Empty stomach cardio forces the body to use the resources it has (fat) If you do not eat enough will slow down you metabolism and will decrease energy level. People that dont eat…

Stop doing so much cardio and switch to lifting. You can keep your heart rate up and build muscle at the same time. Also increase your protein, I do at least my body weight in grams per day.

In theory yes it will work but in reality, no it won't. Eventually you are going to hit a a spot where your body will get used to what you are doing and you will have to change up diet and exercise. Your calories sound very low and you might not want to go as drastic as 1100 per day, that is not much and you dont want your…

Being honest with what you eat is the most important. Ease into the transition because trying to change too much often leads to no change at all. Always remember that you can do it, there are going to be set backs and cheat days but if you make the effort it will pay off.

You wont be a super model but you will be able to see visible differences. First start by making sure you eat clean veggies, learn protein, fruit and limit carbs. Log everything and be honest, limit cheat day and processed foods. I would also begin a schedule of weight training followed by cardio. If you can not do them…

I cant talk to the diet because i eat pretty clean but if you are going to lift heavy do it before you do cardio/class to get maximum benefit. I love lifting heavy and have noticed big changes with definition.

I am 5'2" and 105 pounds Dead lift- 145 squat (non assisted)- 135 push press- 65 Really need to work on my back and shoulders

I would change up your diet, possibly increasing protein. Your body will get used to your diet and exercise routine. When you lift there are a number of ways you can change up your routine. Try doing drop sets until muscle failure or instead of resting between sets do cardio like mountain climbers to keep your heart rate…

Excess sugar is stored as fat. Natural sugar from fruit is not as bad as refined sugar but eating too much fruit and not burning off the sugar will not help your weight loss.

You cant exercise off a poor diet. My suggestion is to make sure to honestly log everything, make sure you are eating good calories not empty ones. 300 calories worth of vegetables is much better than 300 worth of candy. Keep moving and drink water. I would have to know more about what you are currently doing to give you…

There is nothing to fear but fear itself!! You (and anyone else on this site) can do anything. Always remember that.

Welcome!!! Feel free to add me as a friend I am always good for diet and exercise tips and boat loads of encouragement.

It can also come with a change in diet. I had horrible breakouts along my jaw line, I was told it could be one of three things: the muti-vitamine I was taking, increased protein or increased sweat. I cut out the vitamin and pat dry my face at the gym and it has cleared up.

I stopped my BC because it was inhibiting my weight loss. I noticed a big change when I stopped taking it.

I love competition! I am not looking to lose any more weight but am looking to gain strength and lift heavy. I would like to deadlift over 200#, I am currently lifting 135#.

Obsession. it is not unhealthy, in fact because of my new obsession I have never been healthier. I love working out so much that It makes me upset when I have to take a day off that is not a scheduled rest day. I love the feeling I get when I am in the gym and I love the results even more, so much that I am thinking about…

Oatmeal mixed with my protein powder and a cup of coffee.

Welcome! I swear my MFP, it has made me so aware of all the junk I was eating.

Start light then increase, do what feels comfortable. especially if you dont have much experience, if you max out and have poor form you could hurt yourself. When I go heavy I am struggling to get a set of 5, when I am lighter I start feeling the burn around 10.

I drink protein shakes because I am looking to build muscle. It is difficult for me to get enough protein just by eating meals so I supplement. I drink a shake directly after my workout. If you are not trying to build muscle I would not recommend increasing your protein intake because if you are not burning it off it can…

Dating in my 30's used to be horrible, I never had a problem finding a date but none of them were worth keeping around. I recently found a great guy at the gym. We have similar interests and goals. I love it that he is into fitness just as much as I am. It gave me an instant workout partner and someone to help me push…

I am a very similar position to you. I was never overweight just not in shape. With watching what I eat and becoming a gym rat I am in the best shape of my life. Now I am looking for more definition in my abs and arms. It is all about diet and cutting the last bit of body fat to see some nice lines.
-
I agree that you might not be eating enough, also make sure you are eating good calories. A poor diet will also effect energy levels.
-
You are going to see a difference with just those changes. Diet is going to be key, just eating smaller portions will help, you might not want to drop to 1500 calories right away. My only worry is that you are going to be hungry and give up, that is what so many of my friends have done. Make sure that you are logging…

Change your diet, increase protein and watch your sugar intake. If you just changed your workout give it a couple weeks.
-
You are your harshest critic. I am the same way, when everyone is saying how good I look I am always thinking about things I want to improve. You are doing great, keep it up.
-
There could be a couple of things happening 1) not logging things accurately, pretending cheat days don't exist, 2) Not eating enough, the days where there in not much logged, is that all you ate or did you just stop logging? Your body might be going into starvation mode. 3) water weight 4) many people think that if they…

No Pain No Gain. If you are doing it right you will be sore, no way around it. Hydrate, protein, stretching and rest will help but wont keep you from getting sore. Rest is key, exercise is tearing down the muscle, eating is fueling it and rest allows for repair. A little sore is good find your limits, and keep pushing…

I dislike machines. The only one I use for legs it the leg extension machine. I agree with the other above, lounges, dead lifts, heavy weighted step ups and stability ball hamstring curls.
