so for the record you have people who have lost 300 plus and two at one hundred plus pounds saying its not harmful, at least to us...... even if it does have negative side effects.... BIG IF.... the benefit of the weight lost is a far larger benefit

seriously eh, where do people come up with this stuff lol. If you dont want to drink it or consume it thats fine but why make up things or believe made up things? find one actual REAL study done showing any of the claims... not some hocus pokus uber health site preaching their own dreams but a real, scientific study

i lost my first 60-70 i think it was with out exercise.... exercise is just good for you, helps you tone, and gives you a buffer to eat more..... if you are in deficit you will lose it just may be harder and you may not be as satisfied with the lose due to tone.

i do cardio only, running. I started on treadmills and moved to outside. I know you dont NEED strength training but i am sure it wouldnt hurt. Basically do what you can do and want to do and will keep doing. If you want to do only cardio and will keep doing it then go for it. Just be sure to continually challenge yourself…

as others have said dont eat too much, but also make sure you are eating enough.. any time i have plateaued it seemed to be due to too few calories, often from exercise... when i started eating more id start to lose again. In this case id suspect its just summer and the luxuries that come with it lol

worst case you do come out to fast, you will still finish and you are still out there doing it, more than most can say. just remember to enjoy it too :) the thing i love about running is that its a race against yourself as well as others :)

Enter your data into MFP for height weight et. And your weight loss goal per week. Log EVERYTHING, as accurately as you can. Get a food scale, learn what portions actually are. Don't set the bar too high, aim exactly at what MFP says Exercise moderately, walking would be great. Good luck

I started running trails in the dead of winter. As has been said nothing to stop you medically then go for it. ive been out in -30c with windchills driving it colder to plus 30c with humidex into 40s. i started at 345, probably on the high side of 345. I lost probably 70 lbs or so with no excercise then started walking on a treadmill.
