  • Well saw the GP today and the diagnosis for my knee is Chondromalacia patellae .......the recommended treatment.....only bloody yoga and pilates as I've been doing......very pleased as now I can get on knowing I'm not causing more damage.....hurrah!
  • Mine arrived today......very happy to find them waiting for me when I got home from work.....6 days from the US to the UK.....happy me!!!
  • I don't believe Sumo is an Olympic sport yet so no point bothering.....!
  • Couldn't you just make up normal fruit/herb tea and then chill it. Twinnings do a load and most supermarkets have their own ranges.
  • I've had two shoulder surgeries this year and have been doing the 30DS - my modification is for the push ups I do them stood up against the wall as at least I'm still moving. I know how annoying the shoulder injury is so be careful. On some DVD's I see an exercise and I just know my shoulders won't cope so I don't even…
  • Yep, Slimming World is a very successful weight loss programme.....they've just hit the US but in Texas only so far.....it works if you follow the rules, if you 'tweak' it doesn't and many say 'but I've been 100%' but they haven't and that's why they don't lose.....I try and combine their plan with the calorie counting to…
  • Should also add that doing mfp and calorie counting will drive home why sw bang on and on about superfree should be a third of your plate......as a result I now actually do it!
  • I've done Slimming World for years and I would suggest if you've made for example a bolognese which is a sw recipe....a 300g portion of this would be a decent portion and then you should add your superfree, I personally have 200g of green beans and if I'm hungry 200g of cauli/brocoli too. If I have pasta I have 75g dry…
  • I found the epilator way to painful and it caused lots of ingrown hairs.....I stick with shaving. The only hair removal cream I like is Avon's Skin So Soft one as it doesn't smell so bad I want to vomit. I find wax also causes the ingrowing hair problem too...but it depends on your hairiness etc I guess!

  • Why thank you.....the pic is very apt....I'm forever being told 'cheer up it may never happen' to which I have to reply 'this is my happy face'. Will certainly take it easy with the knee.....just had two shoulder surgeries too so have to be easy on those. See the GP next week to hopefully find out what is wrong with the…
  • Payday! Ordered mine today......don't know how long it will take from the US......and as I currently have a shot knee really hoping it can help
  • When I was little and moaned about my freckles my dad used to say 'every freckle is a spot of beauty'.....I didn't hate them then.....now I'm older I hardly have any and would like them back across my nose please!
  • Good grief this is hard....just tried it.....so hard I ended up grabbing/hitting the desk and spinning across the office on my wheeley chair......good though so will try again......might need to wedge the chair in place!
  • Hear, hear...you run back carry a hunk of wood!
  • I started out without weights, I reckon my bingo wings way enough to take the place of a weight. However my 3lb hand weights arrived yesterday!
  • I've sent you and add too
  • Amazing transformation, you look great!
  • Amazing and inspiring giving all of us still trying hope...thanks for sharing and a huge well done!
  • It really has eased off though.....I managed the pilates yesterday with no pain.....do you not think that means I'd just overdone it with 30DS and the noise is just noise and not a serious as first thought. I will still mention it to the GP when I go on the 2nd. I just know if I stop exercise now I'll quit and I need to…
  • I'm a HH and have ordered a Max bra top by Shock Absorber from Bravissimo....waiting for it to arrive....have everything crossed including the boobalinas that it works!
  • So hard to whittle down to just 5:- In My Tribe - 10,000 Maniacs The Globe Sessions - Sheryl Crow Live - Alison Krauss and Union Station Dusk - The The The Genius of Venice - Rondo Veniziano
  • Ah ha just found two pilates dvd's in the drawer bought but never looked at......going to give them a go as they seem to focus on the things I've read about to help knee problems...fingers crossed!
  • This has to be the most sensible and helpful answer I've ever read on here, thank you! I now feel I have half a clue what to do
  • Haven't a clue. I weight once a week at the same time each week and don't even have scales at home....I'd drive myself mad if I was hopping on and off all the time.....
  • Well roll on payday!! I want these DVD's and they ship to the UK and the DVD are region 0 so should work on any player I'm told.....!
  • Yep if this had happened to me I would now be single and looking for someone less shallow and worthy of my time and effort....what a douche!
  • Sorry, the book doesn't say if the recipe above is freezer friendly and frankly I'm just not that clever.....
  • Right I'm home from work so here's the recipe I promised earlier for curry with sweet potato, spinach and cherry tomatoes:- Serves 4 (or 2 if you live in my house) 300ml vegetable or chicken stock (I use Kallo low sodium veg) 750g sweet potato peeled and cut into bite size cubes 1 onion peeled and finely diced (I prefer…
  • Wow, I'd never even heard of this type of yoga. I've just watched the youtube clip and I'm lost for words....amazing!!! I'm going to have to find out more!
