I am 4'11" and recently upped my calories as well. From my experience, you need to give it a little more time. I gained as well while upping but I lost inches. I would suggest to give your workouts as much as you possibly can and stick to your cut for at lease a month.

I have the same problem. The gym I am at (Planet Fitness) ONLY has a Smith machine. I am terrified of it so I use dumbells. I feel limited with what I can do and I hate that. I am going to move gym's but I don't know if I should just yet since my office is moving in less than 2 months. I guess I need to try out the gyms…

What kind of exercise do you do? and for how long? if none then your BMR is 1673 according to Scooby and your 15% cut is 1707 fat2fit radio has you at 1679 as your BMR and around 1700 would be your cut with no activity.

I use almond milk

There is no way you can know how much you are eating unless you measure. If you put your trust in the person packaging your food then you are making a mistake. I sometimes throw away 15-20% of the excess from the chicken when trimming it. Chicken bread and bbq sauce is not a healthy diet for some one who is working out 2…

Is it weird that I like to listen to really girly semi slow/calming music when I lift? I will "rock out" to Regina Spector, Adele, A fine Frenzy and Cold Play type music while lifting. LOL I totally love all the music on these playlists mentioned but I guess it de stresses me while working around the guys in the weight…

This is what Scooby says you should eat to lose for Moderately active: Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)1623 Daily calories to maintain weight (TDEE) 2516 Daily calories including 20% cut 2013 You may need to eat more based on how strenuous you work outs are. Eating more to weigh less is not about FAST weight loss. It's about…

There us lots I cannot eat! High fat foods go right through me, alot of things are too salty!

The standard from my understanding is to eat your TDEE - 15% in the Eat more to weight less community. You can join the group and ask the question to then experts directly.

I am totally lost on what I should be eating calorie wise. I am eating a lot more than I used to at the beginning of my journey. I am brand new to working out and not so new to eating healthy. I am super new to eating more while eating healthy. lol Age: 30 Height:4'11" Weight - 139.5-142lbs (depends on the day) BMR - 1283…

I use BSN Syntha-6 in Milk Chocolate. It mixes really well and has 25 grams of protein with out milk. No tummy issues, and I don't have an iron stomach!

I upped my calories for that very same reason! I DON'T WANT TO DIET EVER AGAIN!! LOL, sorry for the yelling but it is true. Dieting doesn't work. Why? because you cannot eat 1200 calories for the rest of your life. its not fun or sustainable. Go for slightly slower weight loss for life!! You will learn how to eat to be the…

This! I am a drinker. But sometimes I don't wanna or I don't want another drink and be lit, lol. So instead of ordering a water in a water glass I ask for a cocktail glass with diet coke or soda with a splash of cranberry. Someone cannot try to order you a drink it they think you already have one! Like you these are people…

It happens to me. The first week I was kinda sore but this week I have almost no soreness.

2 weeks of lifting heavy (almost) and 3 inches down! I haven't lost in almost 3 month so this was a big one for me:happy:

If you are eating less than her than you are probably eating too little. I do not mean this as an attack, but we are here to be healthy and eating too little will cause more problems than it is worth. Please do not jump on her for not listening to your advice. ETA: To OP: I think you should keep your calories where they…

I love my cottage cheese with potato chips too! But I prefer sour cream and onion! I usually just eat it by itself though. I was at the grocery store the other day and found low sodium tuna!! It was starkist brand chunk light! It's the kind I normally get, but just low sodium:smile: Edemame is yummy without the salt in…

I don't think I can eat 150 grams of protein. lol With the ratio 40/30/30 my cut cut number has me at 120 per day. I rarely if ever go over that number.

Fat 2 fit is based on how many hours day you work out. for example: I lift 3 days a week right now for around 45 minutes total for each of those 3 days. I have a desk job so I do lightly active. If you work out 4-5 times a week totaling around 3-5 hours of moderately intense exercises then I would pick Moderate as my level.
-
I agree! I changed my goals to 40%carbs/30%protein/30%fat and I have a hard time meeting my protein!!
-
I am doing new rules too and I would suggest to go by the #'s in the book. I did all my calculations and min comes out to about the same as the book with my cut. So far so good. I am not even through week 2 and I lost around an inch all over.

FYI- For those that are wanted to give up caffeine please take a look at this list: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/caffeine/AN01211 Decaf DOES still have caffeine in it. I can be as much as there is in a cup of tea. ETA: The only time something is caffeine free is when it is label Caffeine free!! So if you are worried…

In the book it looks confusing because it shows 8 workouts on 4 lines so it seams like you are suppose to do them all. The reason is the first and second time you do workout A (all exercises under Work out A section) you do 2 sets 15 reps. Same thing with Workout B. Then you do the reps suggested for work out 3 and 4 and…

I think this should be an NSV instead of you feeling guilty! You ate 1. That's it and you should give your self a pat on the back for it! I know what you mean about feeling guilty, but it goes away the more you feel in control which takes time! My trigger food is Pizza. I cant live without it but before my life style…

That is totally frickin cute!!! My niece's favorite toy when she comes over is the 3lbs dumb bells I have in front of my TV from when I used to do Wii EA Active. She has been picking them up since she was 9 months. I have to put them away now when she come over because she is almost 3 and can nearly throw them. LOL I can't…

From a lady at work: "Are you going into bodybuilding?" When she saw a copy of NROLFW on my desk. No, ma'am I just want to lift weights instead of doing cardio. And when I asked her about a seafood restaurant when I wanted some crawfish " you can eat crawfish on your diet???" Um yes, sorry to break it to you but Alot of…

I log everything. I did weight watcher before so I know where you are coming from. I don't mind logging them because the are usually minimal in calories. I track my macros (fat, protein, carbs) so I want to know what I am eating nutrition wise which is important to me. I think WW is a great way to start eating healthy, but…
