My ex-husband was never really supportive of my weight loss/fitness goals. Sure, he liked that I looked better the first time I dropped some weight- but he never really fully supported me. When I was with him I didn't really know how to cook (he did all the cooking) and he'd get frustrated when I'd ask him to portion…

Like you have a fun fashion sense (I dig the pants)

@robdel, I totally agree with you. Just because they can't live off $7.25/hr as adults, a lot of them with kids shouldn't automatically mean they get to make more money. Even though I make good money for my age, I struggle paycheck to paycheck every now and again due to personal circumstances. I work for a very profitable…

Not sure I agree with that statement, but I am honestly curious as to why you feel that way. :flowerforyou: As for the OP, I agree with most everyone on this thread- $15/hr is far too much for a fast food employee. I understand that times are tough, and that there are many adults working in an industry that was previously…

Yum... that sounds good! I need to get a 2nd shaker cup so I can prepare my lunch shake before I go into work. That way I can make thicker/tastier shakes every day. I'm definitely going to have to try adding fruit and chocolate... So far the most adventurous thing I've done is add a TBSP of PB2 (the peanut butter powder)…

How do you figure? If two people got married solely for insurance benefits, lived separately, and only communicated every so often to discuss benefits, how is that not completely platonic?

Anyone?

To OP: I can see situations where I MIGHT consider it. But divorce is pricey (already doing that now), and I could see being legally married while still being allowed to date other people as an issue. Whoever you're trying to date could be potentially creeped out by it. If you do it for the insurance benefits, what if you…

I don't sip on it, I take it in shot form. I like it because it tastes good- and yes, it goes down easy, which is a must for a shot (for me). I'm not hardcore enough to actually sip on the "real" stuff. Haha.

I've been thinking about switching to vodka. I typically drink light beer and various shots, but that skyrockets my calories. Vodka could be the way to go. Dang, sweet white wine is the best... I love Chardonnay. I want to try Zumba too. Been trying to find a local class.

To actually make a discussion out of this... Is there anyone out there who allows themselves to party on the weekends, but you're still losing weight (like me)? If yes what drinks do you drink, etc? :)

Yup, this is my second time around. I started using it before my wedding, and picked it back up when my husband and I split. Second time around has been MUCH better due to a more supportive environment, and me actually taking time to teach myself about a healthy lifestyle (not just trying to starve myself). Good luck all…

QFT. To OP: I used to binge, too. It helped me to force myself to think of food strictly as fuel. Kind of an extreme view, but it worked. Once I fell into the healthy habit of using food to FUEL me, instead of satisfy emotions/boredom/etc, I could then eventually move back to using food as something that was pleasurable…

Step 1) Breathe Step 2) Look at yourself- and realize you look great! :flowerforyou: I tend to get obsessive like this sometimes, too. Granted I'm not on maintenance yet, but I'm VERY close. Once you start counting calories it can very quickly escalate into something unhealthy. You're just a bit younger than me and…

I'm 22. Of course I drink. I avoid alcohol as much as possible Sunday-Thursday, but all bets are off come Friday/Saturday. But, I'm also down ~17 pounds and lots of inches (8+ inches from my whole body in the past month). So bottoms up. :drinker:

I used to be a boredom eater- I mostly have that under control now. My biggest vice is alcohol. Hey, I'm 22, going through a divorce, and I'm able to experience the bar scene for the first time ever... what do you expect? :drinker: Fortunately I manage my diet in such a way during the week that I don't gain from my weekend…
