Meh. Look at Jonnythan's diary, if it's open. He does a pretty bang up job IMO. ETA: This is re: the statement "I would argue that it is fairly difficult to hit your macros with the majority of calories coming from overly processed fast food."

Jennifer Lawrence looks hot as a blue person AND she lifts. /END THREAD

If JLaw is average, then I'm in BIG trouble.

Thisthisthis. JLaw is gorgeous and has the personality to boot. I love that she refuses to lose weight for her films, because she doesn't want to contribute to unhealthy body images in young girls. Plus she's hilarious. So, yeah. Lawrence > Alba.

I feel like you need to clarify why you are using quotation marks around Netting, because it comes off as you telling someone to actually net less than 1200 calories. Which is ridiculous.

Because society tells us: Bikini = ok Bra and Panties = OMG PUT CLOTHES ON SL*T *shrug*

This is good, too.

25%. He looks like he knows how to cuddle but would still go hiking with me. WB.

Have all the preferences you want. Just don't turn around and call the other options "disgusting", "nasty", "freaky", etc. Preferences do not have to = body shaming another choice.

Fantastic work.

*swoon* Be my lifting partner, kay? I need you to scare off all those big scary men.

Carrying your gun where people can see it (ex: on your hip in a holster).

To be fair, they were probably scared of you. You are one intimidating lady.

Someone is either 1) HANGRY or 2) Needs to get laid. ETA: Or both.

It was worth it for me. My ex and I went from being best friends, to practically being strangers who happened to share a roof. I'm young, and didn't want to waste the rest of my life. He's 7 years older and I didn't want him to waste any more valuable time on something that clearly wasn't working. That, and I was tired of…

It's definitely a decent start, but if you want to achieve results similar to the ones in this thread, you'll need to head over the free weight area. Stronglifts 5x5 is a good starting place (there's also a group for women here on MFP for it) and I've heard that New Rules of Lifting for Women (NROLFW) is a great book to…

I'm not going to scroll through all of Part 1 to confirm, but honestly, I'm 99.9% sure I recall someone running her numbers and telling her she doesn't need to eat that little. And as it was mentioned before, these discussions are also aimed at the silent lurkers. 1200 cals/day should not be advocated as "this is okay for…

EXACTLY. YOU DO NOT FOLLOW A 1200 cal/day DIET. I don't fully intend to come off as screaming there, but holy crap man, you just said what a bunch of us have already told you. You are not following the "diet" that you are so aggressively defending. No one has an issue with Calorie Cycling (what you called staggering). "We"…

So much this. Will you marry me?

Ha, this. Also less than 40g of protein a day makes me want to cry on the muscle's behalf.

Ok, anyway. In addition to my post up there. Eating less than what your body needs to function in a HEALTHY way is bad, mmmkay. Doesn't matter if that number is 1,200 or 1,700. If you're going to eat 1200/day at least do it right and carefully plan your macros so that you are not losing muscle mass, and so that you get all…

lol'd at the fact that you replied to her, knowing she can't see your posts.

You look awesome!! I also love how happy you look in BOTH pictures. Says loads about your confidence, regardless of how your body looks. I envy that. :flowerforyou:

I used to eat 1200 cal/day. It sucked. At some point I half wised-up and at least started hitting ~100g of protein with 1200 cals (mentioning this because I can't imagine getting 40g of protein or less a day...). Even then, I realized my workouts were suffering- and that's when I was only doing cardio. At some point I…

I've started drinking water while I eat. Take a couple of bites, drink some water, go back to the food. It slows down my eating quite a bit. I've heard it also helps if you don't eat in front of the TV- some people tend to get into "mindless eating" mode when they do.
