Cut your carb intake to 100 mg a day, Eat LOTS of veggies and protein. I can gurantee u will lose the 5lbs b4 your goal day!!! Sorry for your loss, hunni. It's hard. YOU CAN DO IT!!!! Hang in there. :)

I use the shakes when i'm in a bind. or just don't feel like eating. I also drink a shake at times and it tricks me mentally into thinking i'm having a real dessert shake. I freeze it til it's really ice cold.

losing 1-2 lbs a wk is a good amount to lose a wk. When it comes to veggies try blending them in a blender with fruit, yogurt and ice. U dont need much only 4-5 1/2c servings a day. make sure u weight yourself the same day and time every wk!!! I cant weight myself every day, I lose confidence. Give yourself a chance. Especially if your new to exercise. Hang in there. Remember too muscle is heavier than fat!!
