Once you get your stamina up and can put in some good weekend rides you can really burn some calories.. I did a 60 mile ride a few weeks ago and burned 4935 calories (averaging a pace of 17.5 mph)

A couple months ago I started biking again and I try putting in a good hour ride over my lunch break. Right now MFP says i'm burning 1371 riding 16-20mph an hour.
