Great thread, always looking for off beat recommendations.

lol, I bet now you've "seen it all!"

I started the 30DS on Sunday and once it's over I'm just going to move onto something else, whether it's another workout program, outdoor exercise, or hitting the gym, so that I don't get bored. Now that it's warm out I'll be doing a lot of hiking/biking and kayaking so I may just keep doing the 30DS workout like 2-3x a…

Sounds good, I can't wait to make them and try them out. Thanks.

I've never had heartburn/acid reflux before, but once I started using coconut oil instead of other fats, I got it pretty frequent and severe, so I am back to olive oil when needed. I had heard so many good things about coconut oil, I wanted to use it, but I guess it's not for me. What I would suggest is just to start…

If you were going about 8mph for two hours and there were some climbs, I would go with the higher number, 'leisure' riding to me means flat surface, not much (if any) effort, etc. Sounds like a nice ride!

that looks so good, I can't wait to try it, thanks for the idea!

Donut Shop K-Cup and almond milk! After two cups of that, only water goes in my mug for the rest of the day, although around noon I do try to convince myself into a 3rd cup :)

I lost 70lbs, and have gained 30 of it back, and I was definitely on track to steadily gain it all back until I got myself back in check, which was only 2 weeks ago. Yes, it definitely FEELS harder to lose it again. I don't know if it's just because I'm so angry with myself for gaining it back so I'm more critical of…

Are you going to share the recipe? ..Or is it top secret? O.o

I went to school for dental assisting, and while it can be numerous different things, the most basic reason is that you're not flossing. I have the same problem and in the beginning it will make your gums bleed more but if you are consistent the bleeding will get less and less. Even if I miss just a few days of flossing,…

I started 30DS exactly a week ago, skipped one day, don't use hand weights, and do the 'girl' style push ups and have lost 3 lbs so far! You can do it! :) It was rough the first few days, but I have more stamina each day. I know it's hard to get motivated but just remember that you deserve 30 minutes of 'you' time each day…

Today is my first day on Level 1 for the 30 Day Shred! I was going to put 15 min. aerobics and 15 min. calisthenics. I'm not sure how accurate that will be as I don't have a heart rate monitor or anything like that. Good luck!

You said that salad is out because you need to eat hot food, which I can definitely understand as it is freezing here in Iowa! But, you can make 'hot' salad, or at least warm. Keep the lettuce/green veggies separate, so that they are room temp, and then heat up whatever protein you want, corn, peas, tofu, sweet potatoes,…

I work in an office sitting 8 hours a day as well, and because of the environment I'm in, I can't have an exercise ball, or do mini workouts at my desk. I take the stairs up and down throughout the day, I wouldn't walk to the vending machine, as that would be too tempting for me! I'm trying to organize a walking group in…

If I still lived in NJ then I would, but now I'm out in Iowa so maybe I'll do the St. Louis one. Thanks for promoting this or I would never of heard about it. It's like doing the Warrior Dash during a zombie apocalypse!

EuroReady is right that it really depends on the particular guy and his features, but I personally like a full beard as long as it's trimmed and clean looking. I think it's very manly! :)

I love quinoa! I don't really have my own recipe, but I've found that you can use it almost any way you would use rice or pasta. I cook it in broth to add more flavor, add minced veggies, garlic, any spice or seasoning you can think of, it's really versatile. I eat it as a side dish, in soups or stews, or added to salads,…

The number on the scale isn't a good indicator of whether you're healthy or not. If you are consistently losing inches then you're a success! and I would just stop focusing on the scale. From the amount of time you spend working out you're probably gaining muscle, which also is a good thing :)
