  • If you haven't already seen it, go and have a read of : http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 (Or go to forum and search "In place of a road map 2.0") bviously you know your body way better than me and depending on your height and current weight, activity level etc, I'm…
  • - Track everyday - Run for 10 minutes on an incline comfortably (currently on 4 comfortable minutes) - Consistently hit 50% of my intake being protein each day - Be at a solid 182lbs (currently 184-186lbs) Good luck everyone - I think we should all check back in in 4 weeks and see how we all got on :)
  • ^^ Totall agree with this. If it's going to be a huuuge splurge (e.g. birthday cake and beer involved) I would try and take the "everything in moderation" approach, or work out extra in the morning to give me an extra 300 - 500 calories to play with, or most usually just eat the 'unhealthy' stuff and continue eating…
  • WOW! What a difference - well done. The inbetween jean sizes bit is so irritating, but at least it's motivating to get down to the next size. You must post more photos once you feel that your new shirt is a "comfortable" fit! Keep at it, very inspiring :)
  • Measure with a tape, not just the scales! You can go to "My Home > Check In > (Scroll down to bottom) Track addtional measurements" And then put in whichever measurements you want e.g bust, waist, hips, bottom, thighs, upper arm etc... at least then when the scale doesn't do as we'd hope we have other ways of measuring…
  • ^^ This! Eating and drinking what I wanted, whenever I wanted and quite often even when I didn't actually want it! Doing no exercise outside of my usually quite active job and thinking it was acceptable to skip breakfast, make up for it with a few biscuits and drink a couple of cans of full fat coke or bottles of lucozade…
  • During a P.E class in secondry school, I was running on the treadmill when someone called my name - I turned to look, lost my footing, faceplanted the treadmill and subsequently got thrown backwards off it landing on the floor.. infront of pretty much my entire class :| As though being the chubby kid in the class wasn't…
  • Personally I don't pay attention to the number of lbs MFP says I'll way in 5 weeks.. simply because it doesn't take into account changes in exercise, water retention (lady time), going over on sodium, any plateaus, etc! If your actual weight is going down, then don't fret about what MFP says you "could" weigh in 5 week :)…
  • Rolled oats, frozen fruit (berries usually), almond/soya milk, turkey breast steaks, baby spinach leaves! Yummm!
  • Haha ^^ This! But to OP, don't be discouraged.. it's only been 3 weeks.. and as everyone else has said, take measurements with a tape and don't just rely on the scale :) Good luck, and keep at it - I bet you're stronger and fitter than you were 3 weeks ago.. just think how much healthier you'll be in 3 months!
  • I'm interested to see what others with a better understanding of nutrition (than me) have to say.. I mean, if you ate say 80% fat, 10% carbs, 10% protein (e.g - lived off of oil or something?!!) then I would expect you'd hve a very different body to someone who ate 80% protein...! But I would have no idea where the…
  • I used to weight in naked.. but the staff in Boots pharmacy got all stroppy about it for some reason... ;)
  • I weight pretty much daily and also use the tape measure once a week... I prefer to weigh daily and work out an average for the week, that way I don't get frustrated if the scale goes up!
  • Haha - to those saying put your alarm clock on the other side of the room - I am awful and will get up, turn it off, then get back into bed! I am NOT a morning person at all!! My guy housemates have to wake me up when I am on early shifts for work (when they're just getting in from a night shift) by turning on my bedroom…
  • Well, I know what I'm having for breakfast tomorrow!! Yummy!
  • Ahh nooo! Look up "In place of a road map" on the general diet/weightloss thread asap!!! -800 calories a day?!! Your vital organs need calories to function!
  • I make them with just egg whites and banana and they come out fine! Sometimes I also add blueberries, raspberries or half a cup of oats and again they're fine :)
  • Bumping for when I need a low calorie choccie fix :D
  • Sleep in your workout clothes, have your ipod fully charged, have workout gear laid out ready to use and a bottle of water ready in the fridge :)
  • Sorry if I read this wrong, but I read it as you eat about 1200 calories a day and burn off 2000 calories a day? Was that meant to say a week? Well done on the inches lost so far, that's great :) Edited to add: 3lbs lost in 2 weeks is fab!! Keep up the good work.. if you continue to lose 1.5lbs a week, in 10 weeks you'll…
  • Now that others have replied it does seem kind of obvious that standing with feet in one place for 20-30 minutes would result in tingling toes haha, thanks everyone :) Will also look into tying my shoes differently and see how that works! Cheers :)
  • WOW! What an incredible difference - way to go!! :D
  • I experience this when I'm on the cross trainer after about 20 minutes of working out hard, but only my right foot! Personally I've just been ignoring it, so interested to see if others know anything about it!!
  • Fantastic work, well done!!! It's obvious all over that you've lost a load of weight but it is SO noticeable in your face! Way to go :D
  • Bumping for some fit-spiration! All of the photos show amazing results - and so good to see some other tall girlies - I'm 5 ft 10 and whilst I'm always happy for a shorter person to have lost weight, I find it a little demotivating when I see someone at say 5 ft 3 who has lost 10lbs and has incredible before and after…
  • Hello! From Devon and living in Berkshire now :)
  • Wow, fantastic work!!
  • Thanks girls :) I've really slacked with the water this week actually, that is such a good point! Halfway through my 2L for today though so will be super good and hopefully that will help with next week :) Well done everyone, such great losses!!
  • Well my weight usually goes up by 2-3lbs when I way during that time so not fretting! Focusing on the non scale victories to stay motivated and hoping to see a nice loss next week instead :)
  • Well done everyone on your losses to far!! I gained haha! SW: 185/187 (depending on the scales!) CW: 189! + 2-4lbs I am blaming it MOSTLY on it being girlie time and a little bit on overindulging at the weekend.. however, I was under my calorie target the rest of the week and most certainly didn't eat the extra 7000 -…
