Congratulations, amazing achievement!! And well done on the C25K, fab!! x

Huge congrats on the will power! And a big woooohooo to the belt fitting.. give it a few months and I bet you'll be putting new notches in it! :D

I have seen chocolate bars and rolls of sweets that have said 1 serving = 2/3rd of a pack... REALLY? Or when you buy e.g. a Milky way (The UK version) and it says 1 serving = 1 piece yet there are two in the pack. Who has the will power to buy a chocolate bar and measure out and eat only half or 2/3rds?!! Not me!

I'm doing C25K too and when I'm on the last 2-3 mins of a run and really struggling I count my strides - I aim for at least 90 steps (i.e foot hitting the floor) per minute but if I'm running fast it can be nearer 120 steps per minute.. so I count each step up to 30 and then tell myself I have to repeat that 10 times and…

Wowee, that is impressive! As others have said, just double check your route distance, but you could just be super naturally athletic!

Ok so 2.5km, about 1.5 miles.. if you can build up your endurance to jog/run solidly for 20 minutes doing about a 13-minute-mile pace then you would have covered about 1.5 miles... Just jump on the treadmill and see how long/far you can run for in one hit and then increase it a little bit each time you run (e.g every other…

Bumping for later! Currently I add hemp protein powder to a post-workout shake.. on its own with water it tastes like dirt yuck! ;)

Cadburys chocolate bar... full sized and only 185 calories! YUM!

Forgot to weigh in this morning, so will do it tomorrow! Fingers crossed, not feeling hopeful after a terrible rubbish-fuelled weekend ahh! WELL DONE on all the fab losses, everyone has done amazingly! I would definitely be up for a St. Pattys day challenge (4-5 weeks away!) x

Wow, great job! Do you have a local gym with a weights class - might be more enjoyable if you're doing weights with a group rather than on your own? Keep up the great work, although no idea where those last 25lbs are going to go from, you don't look as though you have 25lbs to lose! Way to go xx

Recently started lifting (squats, bench press, starting on deadlifts/OHPs) and this link is very motivating! Thanks everyone for sharing, I will come back to add some photos if this thread is still going in a couple of months! :D
-
I will be trying this, thanks!

Personally I know if I'm craving chocolate, it's better for me to have say a full sized crunchie (185 calories) and really enjoy it, than to keep eating "healthier" foods until I feel satisfied - e.g apple and PB, a rice cake and some almonds, ending up going way over on calories and STILL be craving chocolate... when I…

I'm also trying to up my protein levels, thanks OP for posting and all those who replied! I've found protein shakes and lots of meat/fish (chicken, turkey breast steaks, tuna) and eggs have been my staples to try and get my protein levels higher!
-
Woop woop! Way to go - As I am also finding, it gets hard to get past those certain minute marks (for me I'm sure it's mostly a mental barrier!) e.g 40 mins, 38 mins, 35mins, etc! Well done :)
-
Ahh, I had my TOM in the middle of the challenge and gained about 4lbs... so just keep eating right, drink a ton of water and don't beat yourself up, you're going to "gain" (and retain water) during that time, so next week you should see a loss :) Stay positive, you're doing well!! :) x

Chocolate-Mint Protein Smoothie... YUMMY! - High in calories and not the most "fruit filled" ever, but covers up the HORRID Hemp powder taste for a post-workout snack! 400ml Light Soya milk half a medium banana (40g) 1 heaped tbspn cocoa powder (20g) - I use bournville cocoa 1 capful mint flavouring 30g Hemp Protein Powder…

Well done for making the first steps to a healthier, fitter you! The challenge sounds like great fun - keep at it! If you're not doing so already, take measurements - Personally I measure EVERYTHING including neck, bust, under bust, waist, hips, butt, thighs, calves and upper arms.. the inches are coming off faster than…

Wow, that's a rather big loss! How come you've been unable to eat much? Well done everyone on your losses, not matter how small it's still a loss :) x
-
Well done!! :D I agree with all the other posters.. try not to care about what the others think of you! I've recently started going in the free weights room (aka meat-cave!) and was so scared at first (in 4 weeks I am the ONLY woman I've seen in there!).. decided to get chatting to a few of the guys in there and turns out…

Hello everyone, looking forward to seeing everyone's results today! SW: 187 (Got new scales in the end!) Week 1: 189! + 2lbs Week 2: 183.75 (Total loss of 3.25lbs) :) So 2.75lbs to lose this week... although I'll be super pleased with hitting 182 or under! Fingers crossed eh! ;)

Bumping for later :) Yum!

You could exercise but put your hair in a tight ponytail, make sure you're wearing a ton of deodrant, wear a sweat band to help keep your hair sweat free (dry shampoo/blow out with hairdryer afterwards?), give yourself a quick once over with some wet-wipes/flannel afterwards and put on clean clothes? I don't think people…

Awesome, well done! Have my first 5k in May, 28:17 is a great first race time, hope I can hit under 30 minutes! :)
-
Ohh fantastic job! Congrats on your half marathon too, that's very impressive :D xx

I pre-portion out nuts into little bags of 25g Also, I prepare and measure out fruit (banana, strawberries, etc) into bags - enough to make 1 fruit smoothie with (just add almond milk) and write the recipe into MFP so it's quick to add. I also prewash all my fruit/veg so it's ready to go and repack my gym bag with…

I want a little-old-lady workout partner like this hehe!

On days when I've literally had an hour to get in a workout, I've done a 5 minute warm up and then either 30 minutes of weights or cardio, 5 minute cool down/stretching and then 20 minutes to shower (can use dry shampoo if don't have time to wash/dry hair), put on some makeup and clean clothes and get outta there.. it's…

Ohh I'm LOVING these NSVs - mine is fitness related - I started 3 weeks ago being unable to even benchpress 5kg, now up to 25kg.. really pleased to be making progress :)
