You gals should join the VERTICAL challengers group! Tons of shorties supporting each other. I'm 5'1" and just broke the 130 barrier.

The Shirotaki noodles are all over the place - i get mine in whole foods but they are typically with the tofu in most grocery stores. They are in a bag suspended in water - a little spongy feeling but worth getting used to for all the calories you save and all the great recipes. Some of my favorite new workout songs: "Not…

Hello everyone and happy Monday! I'm beating myself up today after indulging in too much wine last night so hoping sharing some weight loss wisdom will be my penance. A couple reccos: Have you all tried Tofu shirotaki noodles? They are a GREAT stand in for pasta, super filling and the calories are negligible. When i am…

Hi friends and happy weekend. just wanted to send a quick shout out to say THANK YOU for the advice last week - I survived Friday night without any guilt because I had your encouragement to burn it off this morning. And I had an amazing workout today - burn baby burn! I had FUN and stayed on track. HUGE THANKS to your…

Oh and I guess I should introduce myself (sorry - new at this!). I'm Jackie - 5 1/2" and I live in Manhattan. I've tried to lose the same 10 to 15 pounds my entire life and now that I just turned 30, this time I'm GOING TO DO IT! I work a demanding job so exercise and healthy snacks are difficult... coupled with my deep…

So excited we have a home!! One question to you fab petites - how do you survive all the temptations of the weekends? Dinners out, sports events, parties, etc - I can't seem to stick to my 1200 calorie goal. :( Super frustrating to be the lame one at the event because I can't eat or drink.

Probably not the most sanitary solution but I brew a cup of coffee the night before and leave it by my bed. When the alarm goes off, I reach for it and even just a few sips of caffeine helps me perk up while I wait for the first snooze alarm.

I put on a shirt that makes my skin and cheeks glow (I'm blonde & fair, so the color is peach) and a pair of dark trouser jeans. Knowing people are looking at my fresh, beautiful face and smile instead of my body (on days I'm feeling bloated) makes SUCH a difference! Buy yourself a couple tops in this signature color and…

I'm doing the 5K for Susan G Komen Race for the Cure in NYC this weekend. Great cause and great exercise!! Anyone else going?

HA I do the exact same thing. I wish I had more courage to stand up for myself and say no. I always resort to junking the food or making up an excuse that I have a sensitive stomach and can't eat many things. Those of you who can be honest and frank - more power to ya!

HOLY COW! I can only imagine how much blood, sweat and tears you put into that tremendous journey. CONGRATS - you are a huge inspiration and proof it can be done!

HOLY COW! YOU LOOK GREAT! Way to go

I have the same problem! 1200 seems so small some days. I really like the Oikos 0% yogurt, sandwich thins (100 calories) with a wedge of laughing cow cheese. Also have you tried kale chips? Those crunch like carbs but are vegetables!

Best revenge EVER!!! I am thrilled for you!

I can total relate to all of you! My mother and I are both 5'1" and have struggled with our weight forever. The hardest part is sticking to a 1200-1300 calorie / day diet - since we are shorter, we just can't eat as much. It's terribly frustrating and extremely difficult - I have 12 pounds to go myself. But, there is good…
