No new pic, but hit the 100lb this morning so pretty happy :D EDIT: Oh OK, a new before and after. Christmas two years ago as a before, and about 10 minutes ago!

100 pounds, as of today! That's since December 22nd last year, so well within the year. No surgery whatsoever, all diet and exercise. Still got another 60 or so to lose I'd say, but not sure exactly as I want to be a healthy weight whatever it is with enough muscle to be fit but not overly-muscular.

Well a successful September that saw my 9lb target actually be 13lbs, so I'll add a bit on this month and go for a 10lb loss for October - backdated to the 1st, so that means I need to get to 109lbs lost. Already lost a pound of it anyway, so decent month so far! I'm now 5lbs off my "Wedding Goal" which isn't due until…

Is there an October thread yet? Can't seem to find one.

Personally, and this is only through personal experience and NOT a medical opinion or based on any "facts", I'd have to say no. I was diagnosed with (Type 2) Diabetes at Christmas last year and have lost 99lbs since then. In the few months leading up to it when the diabetes kicked in undiagnosed I lost 30lbs regardless of…

Yep, it'll tell him. Personally I'm at 1500, and I make sure I don't go under 1200. I'm losing 2-3lbs a week, and eat a fair proportion of my exercise calories.
-
Hopefully you'll forgive me the 1 lb I need to lose to qualify for this. Have to say I disagree with a few of them I'm afraid - for me, at least. 1. They all got active. Yes, for sure. 2. They got rid of all the bad foods :frown: Nope. I still have bad foods, quite often in fact - I just moderate them. Moderation…

A peppery tomato soup came to my mind ;) Or a pasta sauce... or just put them with a nice salad. I really need to work on variety ;)

500 calories a day is, frankly, ridiculous. Even with vitamins and other supplements you're just not treating your body in a healthy manner. One thing I've learnt on this journey is that eating healthily is all about balance - and in order to have something balance there needs to be something on both sides of the scale.…

Thank-you :)

Month's still going well for me, a week after hitting the September goal my thoughts are now turning to the October one. 10 lbs I think it'll be, which would also mean I'd achieved my next "big" goal to be 17 stone by my wedding. Dare I change that to 16 and a half?
-
Thanks :)

Personally I use stones for myself, but using MFP, the Wii and Runkeeper's weight recorder I'm now fully aware of my weight in all three different measurements. When I started here I had my ticker showing kg, but I soon saw just how much of a majority of lb users there are so I switched it. It's all weight, and it's the…

Thanks. :)

Have to agree with the above. People always ask what "the big secret" is to weightloss - I always say it's just a question of willpower. If he doesn't really want to do it, it'll be near-impossible.

I'm generally home for 5.30, eaten by 6, at gym at 7.30 doing lighter work for the first half hour or so. Gym's open until 10 so I get a good couple of hours there.
-
Hi best of luck with it!
-
95 so far so... 9864+95 = 9959 Can the next person give us 10000?
-
I hit my September goal this morning, nine days early. Yay me! ;)
-
Thanks guys, and yes - much better!
-
May be a silly question but it's often the little things... you have logged your weight, yeah? ;)
-
Thanks all :)

I don't feel qualified to offer advice, but I've got 8 weeks until my wedding and know how stressful it's been for you. Good luck with it!
-
Please ignore this post, I had a problem I subsequently sorted!
-
That's brilliant! Really well done, I know you can do it!

Welcome to the site!

It's definitely cardio! And one of the key parts of what I've done so far, keep at it. :)
-
I had a lot to lose ;) Still do, but one day at a time! Plenty of people on here more inspiring than me, too!

Hello, welcome to the site!

I use the Runkeeper app with my phone, the free version is perfectly good enough for logging and you can also map out routes you didn't use it for on the website when on a PC too :)
