  • I'm in! May 1: 68 minutes on elliptical
  • How much did you lose when you gave birth? I am just trying to figure out your accurate weight loss. I don't consider your weight while your pregnant to be an accurate "before" weight. Once you gave birth, that should have been your "before" weight.
  • Measuring cups, kitchen scale, measuring spoons.
  • You may not be eating enough calories. Are you eating close to or at your calorie goal set up by MFP, or did you just make up your own goal? It's already been mentioned, but if you open your diary, it would be easier for people to help you to see what kinds of foods you are eating, to see why you aren't getting satisfied.
  • I have the same trouble, so I am interested to see more suggestions. I have tried the nuts, cottage cheese, peanut butter, stuff like that, but I worry the calories will be too high.
  • This is our dog, Rosie. We only brought her home last Wednesday. I got her from a shelter on Monday, dropped her off to be spayed that afternoon, and picked her up Wednesday. She is settling in well. She is about 6 months old, according to the vet, and she is a terrier mix. She is my son's first dog, and they adore each…
  • For all the people looking for nutritional information...when you decide to make it, and use your own brands of whatever, just make a recipe in the recipe tab, and it will show you all the nutritional information you need....
  • I'm just leaving this comment to be able to come back for the recipe. It sounds like good soup. I wouldn't consider it a magic fat flush, but it sounds tasty for a good, healthy meal.
  • Great post (and bumping this for later)...
  • I weigh A LOT more than you, but I have lost almost 25 lbs and none of my clothes are any looser on me than they were before, but people are noticing I look different.
  • There are listings in the database for cleaning, meal prep, and a few others...I don't log those things, because I just consider that a part of everyday life, and consider that a part of my normal calorie burn. I wore my HRM a couple times while doing my everyday activities and saw no difference than if I was sitting on my…
  • I have both the FitBit and an HRM, and I love them both. The FitBit is good for the whole day, but the HRM actually gives me a more accurate account of what I burn during exercise, because it knows how fast my heart rate gets, and the FitBit does not. I do like seeing how many steps I take during the day, and how many…
  • Sounds good...wish we could get fresh scallops here. One thing I miss about FL.
  • My friend Andy, in Canada has a Weight Loss Vlog. You can check him out here: http://www.youtube.com/user/MrPapersun His name on MFP is PhatAndy.
  • Definitely going to be watching this thread. I am a single unemployed mom of one son, and have been trying to come up with healthy foods that don't cost a ton, that will keep me full, and still be something my son will eat. He's 7, and is doing well with making better choices since I started cooking differently, and eating…
  • I play, but if you start spelling out what it is, I will delete the game. It just isn't a game to me, if you actually just write the word. If anyone wants to send me a drawing, feel free: EeyoresTail
  • MFP has a search feature, and you can find people close to you by zip code. Maybe you can meet some people in your area that can work out with you...maybe go walking or to the park with you and your children. It would be worth a shot.
  • I could only do 5 minutes the first time I tried it, as well. Then 10 days later, I was able to do 45 minutes, and only a few weeks in, I have done an hour three times this week, plus a 45 minute day, and a 33 minute day. I love the elliptical, as walking on the treadmill is very boring to me. I can't walk that fast, or…
  • I was not eating anywhere close to my calories recommended, and stopped losing as quick as I was, so I have been trying to get closer to my calories, as was recommended by a couple people, so I ended up buying some skinny cow ice cream. I also have some nuts and they help out if I need the extra calories, as well. Milk is…
  • I love salads with all kinds of things on them. One of my MFP friends uses Cheerios on her salads, she says they are her new croutons! I bought Cheerios specifically for that, but haven't tried it, yet. She uses the Multigrain ones.
  • I thank you for this. I knew all this in my head, but have been discouraged the last few days, because the first 16 pounds came off rather quickly (I lost 4 before joining MFP), and since then it has been S-L-O-W. I know "slow and steady wins the race" and all that jazz, and I know that this is a lifestyle change, not a…
  • <~~~totally addicted. I love the support I have received here. I check here before FB every morning. I have JUST started to open up on my FB about my weight loss journey, but I would NEVER feel comfortable telling anyone there how much I weigh, but I would here, because there are people heavier and lighter, but we all have…
  • What's gross about it? Also, I was always told that ground turkey was healthier than ground beef. That is why we got into the discussion. It was a legitimate question, since I have been getting tons of mixed information. I still eat lean ground beef, but I always thought ground turkey was healthier, so I have been trying…
  • I have one, but I delete the FitBit calories it adds to my MFP diary. I use an HRM now, and I only track my calories with it. It is nice, though, to see how many steps I walk in a day. And, tracking my sleep patterns is neat. It estimates my calories, but the HRM actually gives me the more accurate burn, since it measures…
  • Not everyone can run. Not everyone starts out at 114 lbs. If someone has a significant amount of weight to lose, and they have all kinds of physical problems, due to their weight, it might be impossible to run. Any kind of exercise is better than no exercise.
  • Definitely saving this. It is similar to other things I have made, but different. I have almost everything in the recipe, too. I will make it this week!
  • I was just saying the same thing earlier to some of my friends. I have lost 13 total, and 9 since starting MFP, and there are no changes. I didn't do any measurements before I started, but no one can tell I have lost any weight, and all of my clothes fit exactly the same. I think the more you have to lose (I have a ton to…
  • I keep the fun size candy bars (70-80 calories each) on hand, they usually come in a 6 or 8 pk, and when I want chocolate, I eat one or two of them. I have always stayed under my goal, and I am still losing weight. I believe in allowing myself those little things, or I will end up binging. I don't want to binge. I would…
  • Well, I have lost a human head since beginning MFP, but really I have lost an average housecat...lol. I like this!
