  • Hopefully you will get some advice from some nutrition experts, but I'll tell you what worked for me. When I first started trying to lose weight, I focused on calorie counting, but not really the composition of the calories I was eating. I also was usually waaaay below my calorie goals - which is also a problem. What…

  • My husband also had a thing for Kaylee. She's very cute, there's no denying it! :)
  • I love Spike Spiegel! My husband and I ever went as Spike and Julia to a Halloween party several years ago. He deals very well with my obsession. hahaha
  • My husband and I are definitely going to see it! He was sold as soon as he heard Johnny Cash in the opening of the trailer. I haven't read the book either...but the movie looks pretty awesome. It comes out in June, so maybe I'll get to the book before then, I don't know. This almost seems like one of those stories where…
  • A supermodel from Brazil...who I think still models for Victoria Secret.
  • I have one almost every day too. Vanilla coke zero is my favorite! I do drink a lot of water and a lot of white tea, but coke zero is like dessert for me!
  • Smacks!!! They are awesome, as is Golden Crisp - same thing, just a different character (Sugar Bear). :)
  • My husband I were talking about going, but didn't get a chance. He was telling me that the sales are pretty poor considering the fact that they spent $500 million in production. Our local theater is showing it in 3-D IMAX, so we will still probably go check it out because it seemed like a cool movie to see in IMAX. I'm…
  • LOL! I would have to say something too. Thankfully, I have NEVER seen anyone file their feet...feet are gross; why would you do that to your fellow gym members?! I wouldn't even want these people to touch the faucets to wash their foot-hands!!!
  • I also always try to read the books before seeing the movie. I remember when I first read "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" I was really surprised that he set the year so close to the date he wrote it - 1992 (written in late 1960s). The book is awesome, but I also love Blade Runner. There are a couple of movies I've…
  • Thank god for Hulu! I'll be catching it tomorrow as well....stupid school work sucking up too much of my time! :)
  • Totally agree! Archer is great. I think my favorite is where Archer and Lana are going to protect the natural gas pipeline from eco-terrorists. Or maybe the ski lodge one, or the computer virus attacking the mainframe, or when Mallory starts dating Burt Reynolds...it's too hard to pick, they are all hilarious!
  • Picking a favorite is always tough! Harry Dresden is really high up there. Butcher did an excellent job developing his character, especially through the later books. I would have to say that my favorite is Agent Aloysius Pendergast in the Preston/Child novels. He's just awesome with his super intelligence, Sherlockian…
  • I'm actually excited to watch Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter too... I'm thinking that it's going to be the most terrible, funny, ridiculous movie ever!

  • I just recently switched mine over to public. I'm hoping it will help me make healthier choices, plus I realized how nice it was when other people shared theirs so I could steal their ideas. Haha You can add me if you like.
  • You could flavor your water. I'm a Mio addict. :) You can add as little or as much flavor as you like. Kool-Aid, Crystal Light, and several tea companies (e.g. Arizona, Lipton) also have low-calorie, sugar free flavor options.
  • I know what I'm doing this weekend!!! All of these sound delicious; I can't wait to start trying them!
  • I have multiple bookshelves full of DVDs...as well as 4 containers of DVDs in the attic! I really need to downsize.... Anyway, I picked the shelf closest and the 30th DVD is Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. I'm going to have to check out Ghostwatch - I love stuff that is mistaken as real. :)
  • XBL: Silv3rDarby I'm only on every now and then right now - at least until May, when my grad classes are over for a bit! :)
  • Hi Rick! My name is Heather; I'm 28 from the US. I also recently joined the FMP community. I was introduced to the app (by some of the girls at the gym) about a month ago after I decided I had to do something about my weight. Like you, I also feel that stress from work, and the sedentary nature of my job, as well as carbs…
  • Soul Calibur has been my favorite fighting game since I first played it on Dreamcast. And yes, I purchased and played all of the sequels. I haven't picked up 5 yet, but I thought it was released on Jan 31st. I am really ticked that Kilik is not a playable character in 5, as he was always my personal favorite. I also agree…
  • I am totally kicking myself not not mentioning Stargate! Loved the movie, and SG-1 was fantastic. Atlantis was okay, but I think I was too in love with the characters from SG-1 to really connect. Did you watch Stargate Universe? Wasn't my favorite, but it was pretty good. Robert Carlyle was great in it, as he always…
  • I actually picked up the Vampire Hunter D series when Borders was going out of business (yeah, I was one of the nerds buying manga and Japanese novels at rock bottom prices). I haven't had a chance to dive in yet because stupid grad classes and work, but I can't wait to read them. I'm glad to know that they will be even…
  • Vampire Hunter D and Hellsing (not to be confused with Van Hellsing) are definitely two of my favorite movies. Black Blood Brothers was also pretty good - too short though. If you ever have an opportunity to read the Dresden series by Jim Butcher, the vampires are pretty awesome. The Samantha Moon series by J.R. Rain is…
  • I love Sherlock as well. 3 episodes was nowhere near enough! And thanks for the reminder, I forgot the next set was coming out soon.
  • Wow a lot has been listed! A few others are: The MST3K movies Supernatural (I don't know why I love it, but I do!) And then for those that enjoy anime, there is a ton... Speed Grapher Darker Than Black Monster Spice and Wolf ... to name a few.
  • Hello, my name is Heather, and my super power would have to be being able to read about 2 pages a minute....oh yes, and also being able to type grad school reports while watching TV, most recently Game of Thrones, without ever looking at the computer!
  • Man, this may be my favorite topic ever! Feel free to add me too! I love Star Wars, anything zombie related (Walking Dead is awesome), collect comics, manga, watch just about any anime out there (subtitled, of course), and watch/read just about anything sci-fi or fantasy. :) I just wish I knew this many nerds/geeks IRL!!!…
