  • I am almost finished reading "Hammered" by Kevin Hearne (it's the 3rd book in the Iron Druid Chronicles). The books are pretty entertaining. Next on my list is "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss. The Kingkiller Chronicle series keeps getting recommended to me, so I'm hoping I like it. :)
  • I have loved the Outlander series. I actually just got the most recent book for Christmas and I can't wait to dig in. :) I'm also working my way to the most recent Kathy Reichs book. I am very addicted to the books. I love the show "Bones," but the books are totally different so even if you don't enjoy the show but enjoy a…
  • So many animes to love! I also read a lot of manga...for a lot of my favorites I've watched the anime and read the manga and loved both. My long-running favorites are: Detective Conan Cowboy Bebop - Spike is the man Trigun Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Hellsing and…
  • Hi, First off, I am not a nutritionist, or a dietitian, so anything I provide is just what I have come across during my own searching. Obviously, the advice you can get from a good nutritionist/dietitian is going to be the best. Articles about nutrition and/or macros: 1.…
  • There is a great chocolate pie recipe using tofu on chocolatecoveredkatie.com. I love that site!

  • Feel free to add me. I watch just about every anime out there. I loved the first Black Butler, but I wasn't crazy about the second season - I loved the first set of characters too much I think. Currently watching the simulcast for Attack on Titan. <3 Now that I'm done with grad school, I have even more time to devote to my…
  • I <3 Graeter's!!! You used to only be able to get it in Cincinnati, so it was a rare indulgence for me. Now, you can find it popping up unexpectedly in grocery stores and even Sheetz! My whole family's favorite flavor is the Black Raspberry Chip. That French pot process must be magic! :)
  • At first I thought it was going to be awesome....after the half-way point, I was confused, and then annoyed with the ending. I'm not sure, but are they considering doing a second season? Is that why they ended the show the way that they did?
  • Same here! I just got looks from the whole office.

  • I enjoy the Blogilates workouts on YouTube. Also, you could check out BodyRockTV. I have never used any of the Jillian Michael's DVDs, so I'm not sure how it would compare. I like Blogilates and BodyRockTV because a lot of the workouts are shorter 3-8 minutes, so you can stack them however you want to create a full workout.
  • Yes, I have Ni No Kuni for PS3. I really like it, I think the art is amazing (as would be expected of Studio Ghibli), but the game is also good. Kind of reminds me of a mix of Pokemon and Gladius. The cut scenes almost make me feel like I'm watching one of the Studio films. Plus, if you have seen a lot/all of the films you…
  • I'm with you on not reading the books. I am just slightly obsessed with the show (haha) and I'm afraid that if I read the books I will not enjoy the show as much. But I should admit that I had to strongly resist the urge to power read through them after the 2nd season. When I got to the end of the last show I was thinking…
  • I love both the book and the movie, but I cannot pretend that they are in any way related. Two totally different stories, just with characters having the same names.
  • I can never decide which way I like him better. He looked so cute and innocent before, and now he kind of looks a little more badass...which I find I'm also like. Plus, I love long hair. It is amazing the transformation he's gone through over the course of the show.
  • PB2 is processed peants to remove the fat, but there is no more sugar in it than there would be in normal PB (as far as I can tell). It's usually 1-3g of sugar per serving.

  • PB2 is a dehydrated, partially de-fatted peanut butter. So basically peanut butter powder that has less calories and less fat than regular peanut butter. I have never used it as a peanut butter alternative (like on a PB&J), but I do use it to give the peanut butter flavor to different things without adding all of the…

  • I use it to make faux-ice cream. I add it to Greek yogurt (I personally prefer Fage 2% plain), chill it, and then top it with Reddi Wip and Walden Farms Chocolate Syrup (0 calories). Sometimes I make the same mix and add a scoop of protein powder before chilling it. Either one makes me feel like I've had an ice cream…

  • My two cats are Duncan (Duncan McLeod - Highlander) and Darby (Darby O'Gill and the Little People), and my dog is named Sophie (after Sophie Hatter in Howl's Moving Castle). I also have two betta fish, one is named Domeki (from xxxHolic) and the other is Shippo (from Inuyasha).
  • I <3 DC and I have not been able to stop watching it. I think I've been watching faithfully for at least 6 years now as soon as I discovered the show. I had to search everywhere to get the Japanese subtitled version, rather than watch the Funimation mess they showed in the US (I still can't figure out why they Americanized…
  • I love anime and manga too. I've recently been choosing randomly across Crunchyroll to watch more because I'm starting to max out my hard drive, so I'm going to have to get another dedicated drive (Detective Conan and it's 700+ episodes, movies, and OVAs are killing me!). Some recent watches have been Another, Gosick,…
  • Hard boiled eggs and toast. It's pretty quick and easy. Also, if you don't have time (or the desire) to make the hard boiled eggs a lot of grocery stores sell them.
  • Haha, this was the very first video game I played. Can't say I ever made it to Oregon, usually my people all died from typhoid, smallpox, or drowning after I tried to ford a river.
  • I love Zelda - all Zelda games! Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure and Alpha Centauri on the PC were pretty awesome. Also, Aladdin for the Sega Genesis. I was obsessed with that game. Kirby's Dreamland for the Gameboy. Any Mario games... And Soul Caliber for the Sega Dreamcast.
  • Holy crap! Where are the Red Velvet Pop Tarts?!?! I have never seen them before, but they look like pure awesome!
  • I would have poured the drink over his head. Bought another and considered pouring that one over his head as well. :)
  • I use "Just Great Stuff" powdered peanut butter. I don't add the water to turn it back into peanut butter though, I use it in protein shakes, yogurt, etc., so I can't guarantee how it will taste if you use it as a peanut butter alternative. It is good mixed though. Nutritional Info for 2 Tbsp - Cal: 45 Fat: 1.5g Carbs: 5g…
  • ^^ This! I don't go anywhere without it! :)
  • That line was one of the best, but I have to say there was some great dialog all the way through. Action + Comedy = Awesome! BTW, My husband and I were the only ones who laughed in the theater too, but I console myself with the fact that we went at a pretty un-nerdy time.
  • I think that it will be awesome! Much Ado About Nothing is one of my favorite Shakespeare plays, and I think Nathan will make a great Dogberry, though I would have loved him as Bene****. :) I read someone that the movie is supposed to come out this year???
  • Loooove Supernatural. I'm def a Dean girl too. Now that I can watch it all on Netflix I do marathons all the time. :)
