Thanks Lisa!! Seriously, you all are so kind. I really think Dan and I are going to do Insanity again....it's so addicting. lol

Thanks everyone and Barb you're so sweet!!!

Awe thanks!! So sweet

Insanity....it's "bananas"!! Like other's have stated invest in a nice HRM. My husband and I currently have the Polart FT4, which works great. Insanity burns a ton of calories..... I tend to burn on average in the 500 - high 600 calorie range and my husband averages in the high 500 - mid 700 calorie range. You…

I was driving to work today and two younger guys who I swear were like MAYBE early twenties if that squealed their tires at me while stopped at a red light while staring and smiling. I was sort of disturbed at first....lol then thought ...hey that's a huge compliment! They must think I look way younger than 31!!! lol…

My husband and I are almost done with our first time of Insanity. We never did the Fit Test along with the workouts in Month 2....to us that was just nuts. We always did the Fit Test on our rest day (Sunday). Maybe that would work better for you too?? I don't think I could keep down a whole protein shake doing a whole…

In my teenage years I heard Neve Campbell all the time and then I've heard Holly Marie Combs (from Charmed) before. ??? Don't really see it.
-
It is definitely circuit training but I'd suggest buying a HRM because MFP tends to over-estimate calories burned or under-estimate for some depending on your age. HRM's are the way to go. For example, doing Insanity I'm 31 and for one exercise per my exercise I can burn 450 and my husband who is 46 will burn like over 600…

I'm currently doing Insanity and refuse to shell out the big bucks for the Shakeology Shakes. So, I buy MuscleTech Protein Powder ...triple chocolate. I buy the before and after protein powder. I also buy their new energy powder mix to drink prior to my morning workout for that extra boost. I was drinking the Jillian…

My husband (other half) is doing this journey right along with me and is my motivation. I couldn't do this without him. He is very active during work and in great shape. While I wanted to lose weight when I started MFP, he mainly wanted to maintain and build muscle/work on his abs. He's done Insanity with me all…

I plan on sticking around while I maintain ...too easy to fall back into old habits. I'll only hit the high road if they start charging and go back to the old pen and paper logging. Would sure miss all my friends, so hope it stays a free site!!
-
Worked fine for me.....2 lbs to my goal weight. I never deprive myself of anything...just portion control.
-
Right there with ya! I'm 5'2".....peolple think I"m nuts all the time with wanting to lose "just a few more pounds"...but I agree with many of the other people posting, it does show up quicker on shorter people.
-
 Thanks Caffeine

I lost mine with the 30 Day Shred. Here's my pics. Before After

You're doing so great!!! :)

I'm 5'2" and my goal is 110....currently 114.4 lbs. So almost there. Not sure if I'll lower it once I get to 110. lol My husband says NO because my initial goal was 125, then 115, and now 110. Let's just say I'm happy now and am continuing to finish Insanity. If I happen to drop a few more lbs then I won't freak but am not…

It's funny you mentioned this. Just this morning at 5 am my husband and I got out of bed to start Month 2 of Insanity and half way through sweating our butts off we both agreed that we wouldn't be able to keep going without the other. He's been my number one motivation!!!
-
That would be anyone's dream I believe....would I ever be there? Doubt it. lol I think there would be a lot of "you have to be this and have that" to be one. OP....now I think it is obtainable for you. Also, I'm 5'2".....not many short models out there.

I'm afraid you may have opened a can of worms. I hope people don't become too hateful to you on here. I once started a forum like this once and it got so bad I had to ask MFP to take it down. To your question...here is my theory....starvation mode is possible but only when you eat next to nothing for a LONG period of time.…

No biggie. I understand that confusion. I have MFP friends who say they are in recovery and then mention doing a fast. To me these people aren't in recovery....they are still using ED behavior habits but hiding it with the word "fast." True peole who fast will sometimes fast one thing like chocolate or pop, etc....no full…
-
Not hostile by any means....just stating facts. I can't imagine someone who is 9 years recovering from an ED would not be able to understand this. That's all. Nothing more, nothing less. Sorry to offend. I just wasn't getting what you weren't getting.
-
I'm not sure why you are still so confused on this topic after four pages of posts from obviously very smart people ...especially since you went to a university for some sort of nutrition or whatever...obviously you should have some knowledge on this topic and the human body...surely psychology should have been a…

Being anorexic in my teens ....I have to say for me it had nothing to do with fasting. It's different for each individual. For me back then, I only consumed 20 grams of fat per day....pretty much only ate the same thing for lunch and dinner every day. I got very ill doing so. Luckily, thank God I know longer am living that…

This Monday (7-30-12) my husband and I will be going into Month 2 of Insanity.....sort of scared, as I've heard the second month is so much harder but people seem to like it better. We'll see. I have lost inches and body fat. I'm still wait on seeing those abs!! lol What I have noticed with Month 1 is that my indurance in…

I'm getting ready to start the 5th week (recovery week) before starting Month 2. I highly don't recommend missing any days if possible and do the six days (rest one) if possible. The reason I say this is because it's a very intense program and you would think it would get a lot easier as time goes ....a little but but…

Everyone's pics on here is so inspiring and gives me even more motivation to keep going....on those days when I just feel too tired to workout, etc. Thanks OP for starting this forum!!
-
Thanks Mama- Yeah I was so amazed at the difference....the weights incorporated in the 30 day shred with the pull backs or whatever she calls them I believe helped a lot. After Insanity I plan on continuing the 30 Day Shred just to maintain everything because it's basically just an easier version of Insanity.
-
Before starting 30 Day Shred After 30 Day Shred - No More Back Fat!!! Currently now doing Insanity...getting ready to start my 5th week..will post before and after pics once I've finished that as these pics are a tad old.

I-O!!!!!!
