  • Somehow, I find a teaspoon of peanut butter kills most cravings I have! Sweet, salty, it seems to help them all. Hope it helps you!
  • Another really easy one: place a rump roast in the slow cooker and pour one jar of Pace Picante Sauce over the top. Cook 8-10 hours on low. Makes the meat tender and delicious, with just a slight kick of spice. I do South Beach, so I would slice and serve with roasted veggies, but you could also shred it and serve it over…
  • I'm in and I'm motivated! Let's do this. 4 Tuesdays = 8 lbs!! That's almost the big 1-0! They add up quickly and I want them to add up downward, not the other way!
  • I switched from Synthroid to Armour in an attempt to improve my symptoms. After 8 weeks, I literally had bald spots on my head, was so tired I fell asleep at a red light, almost causing an accident, and gained 15 pounds. I had uncontrollable cravings for fast foods (which I would never usually eat) while on it as well -…
  • Good for you!!! How did you get to that place? I need to be there STAT!! Congratulations!
  • I like the idea of splitting meals when we do go out. If not with my hubby (he may or may not want to "diet" with me and doesn't need to **ugh**), maybe with my 13 year old daughter. She never finishes her meals anyway! Start with a salad (dressing on the side) and half of her meal (keeps her choices healthier too) and…
  • I'm 5'1" (rounded), and have been overweight for so long, I would LOVE to be 130 lbs. WHEN (not if) I get there, I'll adjust the goal if needed. For me, it's mostly about how I look in the mirror and how my clothes fit. Right now, both are WAY unsatisfactory ;-)
  • Ahhh! Breathing sounds amazing! Thanks for the ideas.
  • Broccoli Asparagus Brussels Sprouts (I love these with a little olive oil, salt, garlic pepper under the broiler until they're a little brown) Sweet Potatoes Yellow and Orange Peppers Summer Squash
  • I absolutely feel a difference in how my clothes fit when I do sit-ups regularly. Certainly I won't see my "6 pack" until I lose the weight, but I do feel a difference in my comfort in clothing.
  • Difficulty losing weight is by far my worst symptom. I exercise and eat well and the scale just doesn't move. I have to admit, that gets frustrating and I "slack off" on my good habits. It's so hard to measure and weigh all my food and make healthy choices (whole wheat pasta, fruits, veggies, salads, etc) when the results…
  • I also use Biotin and find it helps with hair loss. I am not great at remembering to take vitamins, and I can tell when I haven't taken the Biotin because of all the hair in the shower drain.
