  • good question i don't know if it helps you lose weight but i know drinking a lot helps me feel better and water is the best beverage for you. i try to drink a lot of water and skim milk it also fills your stomach so you night want to eat less:drinker:
  • hello!! has anyone ever tried this stuff? my mom drinks it religiously and she gave me a bottle of Mona-Vie which i am going to start tomoro. it says to drink one ounce twice a day and it helps with all sorts of health problems, also helps give you energy and supress hunger. i'm currently breastfeeding and trying to stick…
  • joonieb you are right about the cost thing. i'm only 26 and i just had my first baby so i don't have that much experience being a parent yet but i know my step-dads intentions were good. i never did dream about broccali and carrots after all i'm just trying to let go of that hoarding instinct i developed and choose healthy…
  • i was actually an underweight child so i could have used some extra calories. i noticed none of my siblings obsessed about food like i did... i dreamed about it often and sometimes stole from my mom to buy candy:huh: im not sure why or why it has stayed with me so long but its nice to hear other stories i've never really…
  • i'm new here and was thinking last night about why i eat when i'm not hungry... sometimes don't even enjoy it but keep eating anyway. when i was young my step-father would hide food or keep it locked away to keep me and my 5 bros and sis from sneaking treats. that only made me want it more and i got good at outsmarting…
  • thanks so much you have made me feel less guilty and more hopefull

  • thanks to everyone for your helpful comments! i am going to the grocery store tomoro so i will get a chance to see what my area has to offer in organics. i can't wait to start making myself real meals instead of fast food and prepackaged junk. hopefully my new baby will cooperate, she seems to sense when i am getting ready…
  • thanks for the reply, and congratulations on your babies! working out is tough for me, because my baby is so cute i get distracted playing with her and she's too young to take to the gym. i will look into getting some videos i think that would be the easiest way to squeeze some activity into my day. wouldn't it be nice to…
  • haha i know what you mean about my body changing shape. under the extra padding i can see my hips are farther apart and my boobs have dropped an inch or two... it's all worth it when i look at my amazing little girl. she is a big part of me wanting to lose the weight, cuz i want her to see that she can be the best version…
  • thanks, i love bell peppers and eat them often to i will definately make the switch. Also looking foward to starting my first garden this spring since my new home has a big back yard.
  • Thanks again :) it's nice to hear a success story. Quiting seems impossible sometimes - i can't believe i started up again! I would love to try some of the new drugs like chantix to help me stop, but so many of them are not recomended for breastfeeding moms. I find dessert helps disract me though, i will have to try your…

  • Hello, i'm new to the weight -loss battle, read your post and had to reply. I also found it easy to gain 50 pounds. I got pregnant unexpectedly and had to quit smoking, drinking; everything fun except for eating! Unlike you, i was always a "skinny" before getting pregnant, but i want to share a little about my own…
  • Hi everyone! I was wondering about organic produce, meat, dairy... are they worth the extra cost and effort? I am a new mom and trying to plan healthy meals i can cook. I am also breastfeeding and don't want to pass harmful hormones/ additives/ chemicals to my daughter, but i don't have tons of extra cash for groceries.…
  • Thanks! I know eating good food is important so i'm trying to make an effort to cook nutrisiously though it's hard to do on a budget and the schedule my daughter has me on. Excersise is tough since it's too cold to go out for walks, i've been doing sit ups, squats and the like. I think if i can stay motivated to visit this…
  • thanks for the advice! i know it is going to take time to lose what took a while to gain, but must admit i am impatient. i quit smoking when i found out i was pregnant, and ate a lot out of stress and boredom, so i gained more than i wanted to. have started smoking occasionally again ( i know, its terrible) but it helps me…

  • hi, i am new to this site as well, have never really tried to lose weight before but now i must try. my name is sarah and i had a baby girl six weeks ago, my first! i gained 50 pounds during pregnancy and have another 25 to lose, so i have a lot of work ahead. best of luck to you, it sounds like you have some great goals.
  • Hello everyone my name is sarah and i am new to this site. actually, i have never used any other method to help me lose weight as i have always naturally thin, until the recent birth of my daughter. i am six weeks post-partum and ready to shed my extra pregnancy weight, hopefully fit into some of my old clothes again!
