You guys can change your goals to whatever you want. MFP had me at 1200, but my BMR is more like 1450, so I changed my goal to that. That way it's not confusing or discouraging when you see red numbers, and you have a more accurate reflection of what you should be consuming each day for protein, fiber, etc. (though I…

Not too slow at all! That's a great pace. Don't worry about speed, that will come later on, naturally. Just focus on proper form, and if you're sweating, you're doing just fine :)

I am doing W2D3 tonight! If you find you are really aching, you might need new running shoes. Go and get fitted for some, it will make a world of difference!

She just called me LOL "Ok so I'm looking at my MFP and I logged everything I ate today......" So great!
-
The best part for me was the look of relief on her face when I told her I eat ALL THE TIME

Children 18:3 is super upbeat and awesome :) For Christian music, I lean more towards rock. Skillet, Disciple, Switchfoot, NeedtoBreathe (AMAZING VOCALS...if you get the chance, see them live!), Pillar...that type of stuff

I'm doing W2D2 tonight, it's a great program!

Don't let something like that bring you down! Turn it into a goal! If you really want to do something like donating marrow (which is totally amazing of you, by the way), then make that your motivation and move forward :)

Is this a recent injury? If so, I'd say take it easy for a while and let it heal completely. Swimming would probably be good, and when you feel up to it, try the elliptical or bike. I have an old knee injury from a few years ago that I never got operated on (though I probably should have) and now I have to wear a knee…

It will be tonight  They just opened a Sonic a few miles from me, and I haven't had Sonic in YEARS. Previous to that, I haven't had fast food in over six months. Gotta indulge sometimes

I think it's ok to weight yourself, so long as you don't do it obsessively. However, just pick one scale and ONLY weight yourself on that one scale, no others! This way, even if it's not completely accurate, at least it's consistent!

No way! However, my friends and I held our own little Biggest Loser competition. We did it for three months, and gave prizes to the top loser at the end of each month. We each bought two $5 gift cards and one $25 gift card (prizes for first 2 months and final "big" prize...we're poor hahaha) There were 8 of us doing it, so…

I've got a friend that I complain to sometimes and she always says "quit being stupid, you're awesome" or something to that effect, and goes on to remind me that I've been an inspiration to her and now she's healthier for it...makes me feel better every time! You, like me, are VERY fortunate to have such amazing,…

Make sure that your toenails are clipped short and that your shoes are not too small! In cross country in high school, I wore a pair of flats that were just a tiny bit too small for me and ended up tearing off three toenails...one of them my big toe! Nasty nasty!!

I tell everyone this, but Crystal Castles is the perfect cardio workout music

I always make sure to try foods I think I hate at least once a year, just to make sure I still hate them. This year I have found THREE that I thought I hated and now either love or can tolerate Avocados - always thought they were gross mushy semi-tasteless...now I put them on my sandwiches and in my salads!! And I love…

You remind me of Zooey Deschanel :) Adorable!

Before @ 180lbs And this was taken this past weekend, 30+ lighter.
-
Most anything by Crystal Castles is great cardio music!

I am 5'8" I started at 180 (less on MFP) and am currently sitting at 150. I'd love to lose another 5-10 lbs, but I am focusing more on getting in shape now and toning up. I am very comfortable at this weight!

I just started the Couch to 5k Program, about two weeks in. It's wonderful for people who are just starting to run! I definitely recommend it

I have this printed on my fridge at home! http://cnycap.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Couch-to-5k.pdf

This is essentially what the c25k program is, from what I can tell. I just started week 1 myself

First week of 17 Day Diet last June I lost 6lbs. Mostly water weight, but still huge!
-
There you go :) You look wonderful!

I do however need to stress the importance of following this diet CORRECTLY. It's the people who don't do it right who end up starving themselves or getting sick. And this type of diet won't work for everyone. It just so happened to work for me, and I don't crave carbs or sugar anymore. I do indulge every now and then…

I don't think you know what this "diet" is really about. I stayed well within 1200-1400 calories a day, I was just getting these calories from lean protein, veggies and fruits instead of carbs starches and sugars. My energy level went way up, I felt amazing, my skin cleared up...there was nothing unhealthy about this diet,…

Actually my energy level greatly increased once I got a few days into this diet. I wasn't weighed down by carbs and sugars. My body responds very well to this type of diet though, I know everyone is different.
