thanks for your answer Kelfran :) Maybe I'll try first with the disposable ones, then the diva cup when I'm more comfortable.

Ok, I need to know. From what I understood, you need to wash/rinse the cup before re-inserting, right? How do you do that when you're outside your home? In the country where I live, sinks are always outside the stall, and it's that way too at my job. [I hope I don't sound too stupid, I really want to know! I would like to…

This is now my favorite thread. Keep 'em coming!

I think it's totally normal to get emotional. You've lost, what, 4 sizes?? maybe 5? It's a HUGE accomplishement! but it's something that happens little by little everyday, so trying on these clothes just made it very real for you for the first time, and it's quite a big change to realize and accept. CONGRATS on your loss,…

Wouldn't that make the day pass faster... I have fruits and veggies like you, and dark chocolate, almonds, string cheese, soup, all bran in a baggie, rice cakes, and hard boiled eggs. hope that helps!

I might start a class next week too, so I'll be following this thread!

Great! That makes it easier :) i'd suggest you focus your grocery shopping on vegetables, fruits, and lean meats. You'll be eating enough food with sauce, or cookies and so on, when you eat at the cafeteria or at the café in between classes. When you can eat in your dorm make it super healthy to balance it out. I'd say…

+1 for budgetbytes! Also, be very careful not to throw away any food. You can always use left overs, even the smallest portions (let's say you're left with like 2 tbsp of a veggie stir fry, not enough for a meal, but add it to a scrambled egg for breakfast the next day), freeze anything that might go back, and make it a…

(totally read cat food too ^^) what do you have access to that can help you cook? microwave, kettle, fridge...? maybe we can help you figure a few healthy menus

I think it's great that you want to change your lifestyle to be more healthy. You're not talking about losing a crazy amount of weight and that's refreshing! Your goal is to be healthier, so focus on eating whole foods that you cook yourself. Learn how to cook healthy. This is a change in your lifestyle, it has to stick…

As the others have said, thank you for noticing this situation and stepping in. I was in a lot of creepy/similar situations when i was that age (not THAT long ago!) and even though my parents told me how to react and I always defended myself, I still to this day feel creeped out when thinking about it. Having an adult…

 Congratulations!!! What an accomplishment! I hope you feel much healthier now. It's crazy to think the change we see in the pics happened in a YEAR. BRAVO!!!

I agree with a lot of the books suggested! The Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, the Millenium trilogy, The Help, the Terry Pratchett books, Steinbeck, also Franck McCourt, Ian McEwan... I can't believe no one talked about The Name of the Wind, or the sequel The Wise Man's Fear…

Having a car, you can totally keep a big cooler in your trunk. Fill it with ice packs + frozen water bottles, and then you can store anything in regular tupps and they should be good all day long! Think salads, sandwiches, wraps, dips and veggies, oatmeal and granola, yogurt, diced fruit, nuts... the list is endless :)…

Sounds awesome! I hope you took pics when you started, because when you'll be done you'll have the best before/afters :) Good luck and keep going!!!

Nice goals everyone! Mine would be to keep exercising at least 3x a week and to be mindful about what i eat all month. We'll see where that takes me in terms of weight and inches... See you on March 31st!!

I stopped drinking soda a few years back - if you need motivation, one thing that worked for me was googling "alternative" uses of sodas, like using Coke to clean toilets... that would usually disgusts me enough :) Good for you for taking this step! Keep us posted on how you're feeling :)
