  • I found smoe info also http://www.natural-environment.com/nutrition/grains/buckwheat-nutrition-facts.php ... this sight says that it is good for gaining weight.
  • I go to a Boot Camp class Mon, Wed and Fri at 6:00 am, so I get up at 5:00 a.m. I LOVE the class and look forward to getting up. Doing something that is fun and where there are other people tend to make you more accountable for showing up. Is it possible to do a class or meet someone early?
  • I like the different LUNA varieties. I will usually have one for my mid-morning snack or afternoon snack if I am on the go and do not have anything else readily available. I will also choose one as a snack if I have a sweet craving. Most protein bars are high calorie (Luna usually about 190/bar) and moderate in sugar…
  • I think that I would tell him that I am serious about it and PLEASE stop. If it happens again I would take the item that he gives and place it in the trash ... a couple times of showing him that you are serious and will not be affected will probably stop him from wasting his time and his money. .
  • There are different exercises that you can use (this is one site I found that has many examples http://www.myfit.ca/exercisedatabase/search.asp?muscle=Back), but no matter how many exercises you do it does not mean that you will lose ... you can spot tone not spot lose. Although, you may think that with more toning that…
  • Good suggestion! I have the Polar F6 and love it too!
  • If you think that you are going to stay with running outside I would recommend one of the Garmins. I have one with the GPS and it tracks where I go, the speed and the distance. You can even plug it into your computer at the end of the workout and it automatically records all of the info from that workout. If you are…
  • Maybe you could decide on where you are going to eat, before you leave the house? This would allow you the time to do a little homework and make some decisions about what you would like to have? Grilled chicken is always a plus, but be weary of slads b/c they can have a lot of high calorie and high fat toppings ... candied…
  • Make certain that you are having something that wil tide you over. You need to have protein in there b/c just carbs will burn off quickly and have you feeling hungry more quickly. Not certain what amount of calories you take in daily and how frequently you eat, but I try to shoot for 300 at breakfast and make it a good…
  • :flowerforyou: Yippeee! Congrats.
  • My favorite breakfast is: 2 Kashi go Lean Waffles topped with 1/2 cup blueberry topping (1/2 cup blueberries, tbsp sugar free syrup microwaved for about 45 seconds) 1/2 cup egg beaters 1/2 serving almonds (about 14) Total calories = 310 Has a good balance of protein and carbs - keeps me satisfied for a good amount of time.
  • I always stay away with anything with cheese and a creamy dressing. I opt for grilled chicken and if there are other "toppings" I request all of them - including the dressing, on the side. I refrain from putting anything fried, creamy or cheesy on.
  • I get the flavoredd "light" versions and dip celery and carrots. I also use them on the 100 calorie "altenative bagel" and I put 2 wedges in my "caulifower mashers" - makes them creamy and delicious.
  • Even if some items are "taken" I would still consider picking up a veggie tray, a fruit tray, and low-fat or fat free cottage cheese, edamame (if you will have a microwavev you can get the "steamer" type), a chilled quinoa salad (recipes online), low fat muffins or brownies (try using appesauce in place of some or all of…
  • Read all four of them and loved it! Was actually depressed when I was done with #4!
  • You need to have something with protein. Carbs tend to not satisfy and do not take long for the body to burn. Cottage cheese, turkey, chicken, tuna or for breakfast Kashi go lean waffles and some egg beaters. Also, I love to have a small amount almonds (half a serving is about 14 almonds and 80 calories) if I am between…
