In that case I'm "Upper Figured shape"

Just checked on my measurements and I'm none of these. I'm somewhere between an hour glass and a triangle. My bust is 7" larger than the hips, which would be Triangle but the waist is 13" smaller than the bust which means Hourglass. I'm just special. xD 50-37-43

Grab a george foreman grill or the like. One chicken breast sliced thin and a bag of microwave steamable veggies and dinner is done in 5 minutes!

Different horses for different courses. The elliptical burns more for me than the treadmill, because on the treadmill I have to WALK. If I run, chances are I won't be able to walk again for a very long time. You must be lucky to be blessed with healthy bones and joints, but not everybody is. I know the stepmill doesn't…

It's not even a GOOD photoshop job. Sure doesn't look like 27lb lost!
-
Sweetie this website says you must be 18+ to sign up. It's for a good reason too.

Runners have no consideration for dog owners. Seriously, if I'm walking to one side with two dogs, you can run around me on the other side. You're one person, I'm one PLUS two dogs on lead.

I love bread! I love rice! I love sweet potato! I love PASTA. I love carbs <3

Can we ban people who post threads about banning a whole group of people? Seriously.. It's getting really old.

It really, really depends on the person. Some people need to eat back exercise calories, and some don't. For me, I'm lucky to not "need" to eat back my exercise calories. If I eat at a 500 cal a day deficit (1700 cal) and burn an extra 10,000 cal for the week, I'll lose a bit under 2kg/4lb. If I eat a 500cal a day deficit…

I'm so up for this! I just hit 100kg, which is 220lb, so I want to get under 200 by the end of July!!
-
I had someone in the gym today tell me that counting calories is silly and a waste of time - SHE USES WEIGHT WATCHERS! omg.
-
Nevermind, I knew this would happen. I had been looking for ages and knew as soon as I posted, I'd find it, which I did :)

5 min in: "Why did I come here today, I just want to go home :'(" 15 min in: "Is it over yet?" 30 min in: "Okay this isn't that bad...." 60 min in: "KILL ME NOW !!!" 90 min in, at the end: "BUT I DON'T WANT TO STOP, DON'T MAKE ME LEAVVVE"

I was running 140/90 about 3 months ago. At last check, I was 110/65. Keep up your hard work and fitness and you'll bring it down, no doubt. (Also, as you work in the health field you should know that prehypertension is very, very common. Doctors aren't going to try to alarm you over a reading like 124/80, probably more…

Off topic, why the HELL do you have your weight on your drivers license in the US anyway? It seems so crazy & unnecessary.

My issue is that their support have been unhelpful. They've told me straight out that I haven't cared for it properly and that's the *only* reason a polar HRM stops working. I've followed every instruction in the manual. It's still under warranty. Yes, I run the strap under water before using it. Have recalibrated multiple…

Bump?

So about 2 hours? Perfectly fine. As long as you 1) Don't feel ill/unwell afterwards and 2) feel it is sustainable, GO FOR IT!
-
So far 12kg/26lb down. I was 36G before and I'm 34H now.

Hahahahaha.

:)

Exactly! I can TELL you that, but I can't tell you that I know that BECAUSE OF MY DEGREE.
-
A doctorate does not make you a medical doctor. You can be a doctor of almost ANYTHING. My D.C.Sc. doesn't make me a doctor, not in conversational terms.
-
Seeing as everyone seems a little off this morning, I'll say it again - I was simply saying that it is inappropriate for a psychologist to quote that as the reason for their opinions. A doctor can give you medical advice and say it's because they're a doctor, but a psychologist doing it is as good as me saying I know how…
-
A psychiatrist is medically qualified. A psychologist, while they learn some of the same stuff, is NOT medically qualified. They're a glorified counsellor.
-
I didn't mention whether or not they'd UNDERSTAND it. They're simply not in a position to use that qualification as grounds for their opinion.
-
It was already corrected....."just saying".
-
I'm in the exact same position as you, actually. That's not the point though. If you have no medical *qualification* (and it's not - that's what psychiatry is) you have no right to refer to your qualification in a misleading way when giving advice. I learned a lot about health/medicine when studying psychology, too, but I…

I'd take it from a psychiatrist, maybe, but a psychologist has no medical qualifications so why would I care what a psychologist thinks?
