I'm female (so my opinion matters) and have lost 7kg in 8 weeks with a MODERATE calorie deficit (I eat ~2000 a day), intense strength training and very minimal cardio (30 min 3x a week) PS I love this thread, brilliant.

I just set mine to MFPs idea of "moderately active" for me, and my BodyMedia Fit does the rest. :)

Height: 5'8" SW: 255lb CW: 240lb GW: 150lb (but we'll see) I eat anywhere from 80gm a day (bare minimum) up to 250ish. One day I hit 320 but that isn't normal for me. Last time I checked my past-7-days (earlier this week) I had taken in 1300gm of protein over the past 7 days, which is an average of 185 a day.

Last time when I went from 120kg to 87kg I went from 18J/K to 16F. However I was 16F at 105kg too, so the last 20kg I lost nothing. Lets hope it stays the same this time - I'd love to stay D-F.

I eat 1700 - 2500 a day, averaging 2100. Have lost 6kg in 7 weeks :) Currently 109kg

Or you could just not eat the exact serving size they recommend.. Ie 2.5 servings a pack, 85 cal a serve, 3 people eating it 85 * 2.5 = 212.5 212.5 / 3 = 71 cal each. Easy peasy. Agree that it's silly, but throwing stuff would be 20x sillier

Speak to people who have a BodyMedia Fit or another all day burn counting device. You'll then understand how far off "estimates" can be. For example i am moderately active, every calculator estimates my TDEE at 2600 - 2900 cal. With my BMF I average 3500 and pass 4000 regularly.
