This is tasty and easy and requires only smushing, no cooking. In a bowl, mash together whatever of the following you have on hand: black beans (or pinto I suppose), some salsa, maybe some cherry tomatoes, avocado, olives, onions, peppers, cheese, sour cream, or whatever else "Mexican-y" you have laying about. Of course,…

Morningstar had these microwavable fake sausage or bacon breakfast biscuits with cheese. SO damn good and quick and not that bad on calories. Sigh. My husband misses Coke Black, which they made for maybe 10 minutes (espresso with Coke).

I've been pescatarian for a bit over 10 years. Anyone can feel free to add me too. Open diary - check!

Never had a parsnip before a year or so ago - now I LOVE them! Roasted with a little olive oil - so good!

Awesome - this sounds great! Bump!

Actually - you missed an important part of the No S Diet - the exception! The website saysf: There are just three rules and one exception: No Snacks No Sweets No Seconds Except (sometimes) on days that start with "S" So, the whole idea is that you eat like they did in the "old days" - meaning no snacks, no seconds, no…

Toasted Kashi 7 grain waffle with greek yogurt spread on top with berries, slivered almonds, apple slices, or whatever comes to hand. Fairly filling and around 200-250 calories depending on what you put on it and how much yogurt you use.

Start with the miso soup - so good for, like, almost no calories. I often get squid salad too, which isn't bad at all - and also delicious. I usually get a kappa maki - cucumber roll - very few calories and I really like the simple, clean taste. Then I usually get one "splurge" roll - California roll or shirmp tempura…

I'm currently starting to run myself. I tried the C25K thing a few times, but kept getting bored and never made it through. So I'm just running til I can't run anymore then walking for a bit and then running again. I'm enjoying it, although I ran into multiple clouds of bugs tonight - so gross!!! I also just downloaded the…

I will turn 40 in September - everyone should feel free to add me! I lost about 45 or 50 pounds right before I turned 30 but, sadly, over 8 years or so, gained it all back plus 30 more pounds (sigh). So now I'm doing it again right before I turn 40. It's a very different experience in some ways - taking longer, etc. But I…

I quit smoking about 12 years ago and it was definitely the best decision I ever made! For me, it was totally the Zyban/Wellbutrin. It allowed me to forget about smoking until I saw or thought about something that reminded me, which made it much easier to just quit. I think I took it for a few weeks, only smoking when I…

This is a great idea and has me excited about making and eating salads! Woo hoo! Thank you :)

Take it one day at a time! I drank TONS of soda for years and years too. I gave it up cold turkey Oct. 25, so it's been almost 6 months. It definitely gets easier. I got a Soda Stream and now drink tons of carbonated water. It can be done! I don't really miss it much any more.

This is a great thread! I know I'm not using my smart phone as much as I could be - I'll be back tomorrow to check some of these out - keep 'em coming!

Second on the kickboxing! Love love love it! SO much fun and burns crazy calories! Find something you enjoy and you are way more likely to stick to it. I've also been doing aqua zumba and that's fun too. Look around!

Lunges. Bah, I HATE lunges!

I quit diet soda on October 25. I did notice that I lost several pounds more in the few weeks after that than I expected. I just got back from a month at my mom's place (my mom is better known as The Sugar Queen) and so I'm having terrible cravings trying to get back off the bad habits I reacquired at her place. I would…

Mine says 150 and, when I got it, that was a GIANT lie, as I was really 220 or 230. Now, I am about 8 lbs away and hope to get to 10 or 15 lbs below before I'm done - yay! I hadn't even thought to check, so that's kinda cool :)

This is a write up of the study that got me to finally quit soda, although I've been mightily addicted to it for years. Actually, decades. I'm actually happier without it, although it was tough quitting. http://www.aarp.org/health/conditions-treatments/info-05-2012/soda-drinkers-have-higher-stroke-risk.html

Motivating friends do help - feel free to add me if you like, I'm on here just about every day :) Also, log log log log!!!! I got the mfp app for my phone and I just log everything immediately. I'm trying to view this not as a 'diet' but as something I'm planning on doing long term, even once I hit my goal weight…
