I'm starting over from scratch this week, but completed the program last summer and it was great. If you have trouble with your breathing just slow down the run and try to relax. Don't feel like you have to hit a certain speed. I try to do a little breathing before I run because I would make myself hyperventilate if I…

There are lots that I like that I've already seen listed here. King Corn was good as well.

I don't remember ever being happy with a weight at the time...but when I look at old pictures I seem so thin. It's crazy how our perspective changes and how self-critical we can be.

Well, according to the wrist and elbow I have a small frame so I guess I can stop using the "big-boned" excuse. :blushing:

Bump.

That brings up another question I have: How do you determine frame size? I have the wrists of a child, but a larger ribcage and hip bones. Even at my smallest (118-ish in college) the bone frame stuck out.

Get creative with salads. No cooking required and you can tailor it to meet your preferences. There are plenty of low calorie dressings but my favorite is just lemon juice, a packet of stevia and some sea salt. I add fat in the form of walnuts or avocado and chop up any veggies we have handy (try different lettuces and…

That is funny. So you know exactly where I'm coming from!

MFP shows a range of 111-150 in the healthy range for my height (5'5"). I'm already in the range, but there's a HUGE difference between 111 and 150.

Fantastic results. Don't beat yourself up over not being "100% clean" - this is a long-term lifestyle change not a diet. You have to allow for some enjoyment.

Hiya from Yorkshire!

I'm fully on the 30 Day Shred bandwagon right now. I love/hate Jillian, but there's no arguing that she gets results fast! A month ago I struggled through a girly push up and now I'm rocking planks. After reading all of these I've loaded up my amazon cart. I guess there are worse things I could do with my money.

I gained a few pounds too, but I'm on day 7 of level two and took measurements (because the weight was bumming me out) and lost another half inch off my waist and an inch off my hips. I can live with that.
-
Looks good. Thank you!
-
It helps to take measurements too. You'll be so happy you did later.

I could live on avocados. Try mashing with canned chicken for an easy sandwich/pita/wrap filling (my husband loves this). If you're a fan of hot wings, you can slice an avocado and sprinkle it with Franks Hot Sauce (yummy, buttery, spicy). You can use them in sweet dishes too. Pumpkin Pie Soup:…

Yum. Thanks!

Sounds great!

Yum.

bump - thank you!

You look terrific and most importantly...CONFIDENT! If you grandmother says anything just smile and nod and think "what a sweet, old-fashioned, little old lady...if only she could have experienced showcasing smoking hot legs in her lifetime" and then go boogie. People tend to be brutally honest on these forums and the…

This is great Rae. Thank you!

Hi Dyanna, I've found that cutting out artificial sweeteners and drinking a lot of water helps to flush out all the yuckiness that aggravates conditions like fibromyalgia. I have polymyositis myself (similar) and diet and water have helped more than any medication I've been on.

One of my coworkers got me hooked on this. His daughter mixes it with jelly and/or low-fat cream cheese for sandwiches or on celery. Yum.

Make sure you drink lots of water, especially if you increase the fiber. Water helps everything move. Sluggishness can be a result of dehydration. Lots of good suggestions here.
