1. For a retired Marine, I seldom get pissed off, actually totally mellow. 2. I do most the house chores, I spoil my wife, she takes care of me in other ways. 3. Every time I watch "It's a Wonderful Life", I cry at the end when Harry Bailey says" to my big brother George, the richest man in Bedford Falls", both of my…

I was a golden glove boxer and a football player in high school. Winter time I lived on the ponds skating. Joined the Marines, spent 20 yrs in great shape, 4 Marine Corps marathons and a half in Okinawa, retired, and don't have a clue what the hell happened to me. But now I am back. Oh yeah, played Rugby for 1 1/2 yrs…

I looked at your food diary and personally think you are 1) eating the wrong foods, I see lots of bbq and cheeses. Get more protein in you, along with more fruits and veggies. Your body needs it. 2) how often are you eating? it seems to me you are picking like a bird. Make those snacks meaningful so they hold you over to…

not training for any right now but for those running The Marine Corps Marathon, you will love it. Ran it 4 times as a Marine. The support and scenery is outstanding. Semper Fi.

It's a great quick meal for me every now and then, good variety, but mindful of the sodium.
-
I bring a mixed salad with balsamic vinegar every day. I also pre cook my meals the night before, ie. ground turkey, grilled chicken, etc. It makes it a lot easier. Occassionaly I bring in a Healthy choice meal, but watch the sodium. Preplanning, in my opinion, is a key to being successful. Good luck.

Thanks, been looking for something like this, much appreciated.

looked at a week and noticed that you don't eat enough protein, especially since you are exercising a lot. also, watch the sugars and sodium. You would be amazed at where the sodium is hidden. Best of luck.

My wife just asked me today if I was going to leave her after I lost my weight. She is nuts!! Best wife in the world!

You have to take it one day at a time. You would be amazed at how much the human body can go through. I have been on here since Jan 2012 and have lost 47 lbs here and 57 totaled.I won't lie to you, it's not easy but if you set your mind to it and set little intermediate goals, you can do this. It is a lifestyle change.…

Ilove to hike but haven't done so in a few years. When I was a Marine in Japan, I hiked Mt. Fuji four times in four weekends. It was exhilarating and almost had a spiritual effect. The view was magnificent. Halfway up, I actually came upon a Monk who was meditating. He stopped and talked to me and another Marine for a few…

I say join the gym, the support system definitely helps. You can actually talk with others there and get some different ideas and the people in the gym may give you tips on working out, proper form, etc. Go for it!!
