don't expect to lose big numbers each wek. Slow and steady is better for you. Don't get down, it will come off if you stay dedicated. Hell, some weeks you will gain, be patient.

It's good for your heart, just because you want to lose weight doesn't mean you should stop cardio workouts. In my opinion, a good combination of both is good for you. What that combo is, well, that's up to you to decide. But pointless, never!!

Don't run your long training runs at race pace. Wish I would have known. Also, get into habit of knowing what foods to eat before ouy run. Don't eat something different on race day that you haven't done before. I became the port a john king.Best of luck and have fun!!!
