a 10K is a good fun run. I would say just go out there and run it like you would a training run and see how you do. The motivation from the crowd will give you a boost. It's also a great way to get a time down for your 1st 10k. Build from there. Most importlantly, since I am a Marine, I would say don't forget the cause you…

I ran 2 half marathons and 4 Marine Corps marathons, 20 years ago. The half was fun too me and I used it as part of my training to motivate me. The full marathons were a hell of a lot harder, required more training and commitment, but was much more rewarding. The first full I went out to finish, the next 3 were like being…

I put on subtle light and listen to feng shue music, very soothing and relaxing. I went and saw a hypnotist for this problem and he also told me when you sleep, try to lay on back, relax, and do not cross any body parts as this throws off body chemistry. I go to bed at 8 o'clock at night and get up at 3 am, so sleep is…

congrats on raising the calories!! You seem to want to do what's right and I think along with increasing the calories, you should seek professional help. I don't mean that in a hurtful way because I have 2 daughters in their 20's and that's what I would tell them. I am sorry that you don't have the parental support, but…

I drink it all the time. I take the raspberry grean tea and I add Bigelow green tea that I heated in my pan. I use 8 tea bags, boil, then mix with my crystal lite. I love it because I was hooked on soda and I haven't had but maybe 2 glasses of soda in a year.

I like 2 slices of wheat toast with hummus on them, topped with 2 eggs sunny side up and some type of fruit and a cup of coffee. That's usually my 3:30 AM breakfast. Sometimes I just have cereal with either blue or strawberries, lowfat milk and a cup of coffee.

I looked at your eating for the past week and I think you need more veggies, good source of vitamins and minerals. Also, don't be afraid to get that variety of protein into your body, such as eggs, yogurts, turkey, etc. The protein will help you feel fuller longer and you need it for recovery from exercises. Take some type…

I ran 4 marathons and 3 half marathons. I f you can find a runner's club near you, get involved. They are wicked knowledgable and eager to help. Also. there is a good book by Jeff Galloway that will help you prepare. My personal advice is get good shoes, build a good base mileage, and stay true to the long runs and go slow…
